We stayed at this hotel for two nights during Christmas after our Caribbean cruise. The location is nice, but we'd really tried hard to look for parking spots on the streets. The hotel is old and the maintenance is poor. The whole room, especially the bathroom didn't have a feel of cleanness. If this is the standard for a budget hotel on Miami beach, I would seriously consider spending more money on a clean and comfortable stay next time!!

One of the most disgusting hotel I have ever been. Rooms are distributed to customers without being cleaned. At our first night, we had to beg the staff to clean at least the bathroom that was filthy, full of hair and you could see the dirt everywhere... Unfortunately I did not think about taking pictures to show how on earth they can call this disgusting place an hotel.

This hotel is in a prime location. The room is simple, but tasteful. The staff was very courteous. The only suggestion is to give yourself extra time for valet since the vehicles are parked pretty far away.

Me and a buddy of mine (early 20's) went to south beach just looking for a place to sleep. We were not going to be in the room at all, so we booked the cheap starlite hotel. Pictures looked decent and the location was good. We did not expect much at all, since we never stay at hotels and always go on the low end of hotels/motels.

When we arrived at in the room, we were greeted by a 3 inch long cockroach scuttling along the floor. The biggest cockroach i have ever seen in my life, looked like a praying mantis.

Next, we check the bed sheets and find blood splattered all over the sheets, indicating the presence of bed bugs. We both got nauseous, and wanted to get the hell out of there before we vomited. We could not sleep with bedbugs and cockroaches!!!

The management at the hotel was shady, they said they never saw any bedbugs, and that the cockroaches "fly in through the windows" and that there is nothing they can do. All they offered was a cheap upgrade to ocean view, but i did not want to stay in a hotel with these bugs present. Finally after calling hotels.com for 2 hours, they gave us a refund and we got a better hotel for free with a $100 credit. STAY AWAY!!
