I was expecting a horrible hotel based on reviews, but I was not disappointed. This Hotel is located right in front of the beach and in the middle of a lot of good restaurants and bars. I will tell you that this hotel is not for anyone that is expecting luxury, great service or tranquility. This hotel is located where the party scene is at and you must come with that in mind. The lobby is in the bar. Checking in was fast. They do require a $100 deposit that you get back when you check out.
The room: it is small, but comfortable. You have a fridge, microwave, iron and blow dryer. The view is of other buildings, so don't expect ocean view. The bed was comfortable. It was firm, but I slept like a rock. The walls are paper thin and if you are a light sleeper, this may not be for you. The room was clean and no bugs were noted. The elevator is small and takes forever, taking the stairs is faster.
The beach: it's clean and plenty of space. We went in Feb and it was a little chilly and would have been better if it were warmer. The temperature did go up into the low 70s, but the wind chill felt like in the 60s
Tips: food and drinks are expensive. We spent $95 on a sandwich, fries, avocado salad, calamari and two alcoholic beverages for lunch.
You can go to a the Corner store and buy drinks and snacks for cheaper.
A taxi cab from Miami international to her hotel is $33. Cheaper than the $22/ person super shuttle.
