not at all what we expected, the only good thing, it was right on the beach..and the staff was friendly, but we would not go back, it was dirty and they just tried to cover up.

I stayed in the hotel along time ago.
I have been in Florida since and definitly would not recommend
this hotel.

I agree with the rudness and lack of knowledge of the staff,
The manager was constantly apologizing and we had to deal with him all the time, He was very good.

Yes the food etc very expensive.

Wait for this; On the last day the unbelievable happened.

Our flight was later that night so they left our luggage in the hotel
storage room. Fine we went sightseeing and went back to say our goodbyes and collect our luggage.

Not good they had put our luggage into a bus - japanese tour
we are Irish.

Panic all around and the porters suddenly began talking in Spanish and would not help.

Long story made short we spoke to the manager over the
phone. He tracked our luggage to the Miami port.
Cruise ship going to to the Bahamas.

The manager played a blinder. He went to the port boarded the cruise ship with about 3,000 pieces of luggage.
He found my luggage and we linked up with him in miami Airport with less than an hour to boarding.

Great; but Mary's luggage did a tour of the Bahamas and eventaully got home to Ireland 2 weeks later via the Beach house.

I am shocked to see that most of the other reviews I have read are negative, for my experience staying at this hotel is far from that.
Since we arrived at the hotel last month I felt all worries dissapear and this was helped by the most amazing and friendly staff, no matter how early you went down for breakfast you will always get a smile and a friendly conversation which will start your day perfectly.

The location is great as you stay right on the beach and is perfect if you are after a peaceful holiday, it is also convenient to travel to other areas such as south beach, using the S bus.

Don't expect a 5 star hotel because you won't be paying 5 star money, but with the service and location I am extremely happy that I chose this hotel to spend my holiday instead of any other.

I booked a week in advance, I was looking for a nice hotel not too expensive and the agency suggested me the Bal Harbour mentionning was great!!! So i arrived there on January 12th, with my boyfriend. We checked in-late so we didnt really bother about the room. We had a view on the busy street and so-called patial view on the beach! The room was clean, phone was not working, the maid would never clean our glasses or even replace them, bathtub was very slippery and very narrow! The first day we got ripped off with the breakfast, its about 20$, there's nobody that really eat down there. The bar at the pool is also a rip-off, we ordered a mojito for 15$ + tip!!!!!!! The pool was freezing, I got a cold from that! The hotel staff is a compelte turn-off, they are very rude, especially the young guy at night, I even mentionned it to his boos the next day, for example he would say: "What do you want"...How can you tell this to clients...The only good thing was the room service, maybe because we made friends with the chef, we always got what we wanted!!!

Since the weather wasnt too nice during our few days, we ask the hotel staff if they had any excursions or activities they would suggest...So they suggested the Bahamas, the next morning we left by cruise to Bahamas for 3 days/2 nights! When we asked some info about the trip, we were completely mis-informed from the beginning to the end!!! anyhow, we managed to have a good time.

When we came back, it was late at night so we had no choice to go back to this same hotel because all the other hotel were booked because it was soon to-be the super-bowl...

Simple, do not waste a penny at this hotel....it is absolutely not worth it...
