“Location Location is everything”

A nice stylish small hotel in the heart of the Art Deco region, you are very well located for all of your South Beach needs.
Friendly front desk staff. Our room was of modest size but did contain all required amenities and we did like the funky modern style it had been decorated in. As others have commented they have some of THE comfiest beds around but the modern slatted blinds over the windows seem to leak in light (neon or daylight) from outside and we thought drapes/curtains would have darkened the room much better.
The bathroom was in the same dark/silver decor and appealing to the eye but loses a point for a big square sink with very low tap pressure and no plug - style over practicality?

We were on the first floor streetside so heard a lot of noise outside (spirit of the neighborhood - expected) but also from hotel staff & delivery using same corridor and storage rooms opposite early morning/late evening and being less than thoughful with banging doors - shame.
If you need a good breakfast try the News Cafe a few doors to the right of the entrance, if you want a good day out try the Big Red Bus for sightseeing a getting a feel for the area otherwise it's beach by day and party by night!
We enjoyed the hotel but it didnt quite hit the mark for us - trying too hard with small niggles that others may not experience but it appears to be good value considering the area.

“Lovely Art Deco hotel in the heart of Sth Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Great location, lovely looking hotel. Rooms aren't big, but ample in size. Water pressure isn't that great, in the bathroom but it was terrible either. There is no lift, and no one offered to help us with our bags, but the staff are friendly, if a bit forgetful of who you are on the outside restaurant. Food is good, but if you come out of hotel and sit down, they never once offered us the cheaper special menu, just the full priced one, so just make sure you ask if there are any specials, especially with the drink. Mojitos, were good & strong :) Vallet parking is $30 per night & you can just charge it to the room even though it's a private company. South beach is lovely, thankfully someone had the brains to keep & preserved these lovely Art Deco buildings, it makes it a joy to walk around Sth beach.

Room Tip: If you have luggage, stay in 1st floor, there s no lift

“Best bed ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012 via mobile

What you see in the picture is pretty much what you get. Hotel is one of many Art Deco style buildings on south beach. The rooms a beautifully finished, modern in there art deco design. Pretty bathroom, powerful shower, the bed is huge and has to be one of the most comfy I have slept in. All there-Fridge, bathrobe, bathroom shampoos etc. would have been nice for a coffee machine/kettle.
Location is right in heart of south beach.
South beach is expensive, there's plenty of restaurants that are doing food/drink deals and most have live music going on, but watch out for the high tax and 18% gratuity that's added on to everything. Just as well we only spent 2 nights there or we would have to take out a seccond mortgage!
Weather in Jan/feb very very windy and cool at night.
For short stop over visit, recommend hop on hop off open bus trip, you see all there is to see without the expense of taxi or car hire.

“Great Location! And great price from Splendia!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Thanks to Splendia.com I paid less than $100 per night for this nice hotel. The rooms looked as if they were recently remodeled and they were very clean, although on the small side. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on!! I was in room 107 and it was very quite except when housekeeping was banging around out in the hallway. I could not really hear any noise from outside and that is really amazing considering the location, which includes Mangos right next door. Juan Carlos was very professional during my check in process, which is always a nice relief when you arrive feeling very tired from your trip. Of course the location is the best thing about this hotel, because it is near everything you want to be near. I was very happy here.

Room Tip: I suspect the rooms in the rear, like 107 where I was, are the most quiet.
