This hotel is in a great location and has a lot of potential. The management and staff are not caring or friendly. Check in is at 4pm and I arrived at that time and was told no rooms were ready and they were trying to get in touch with housekeeping to get an update. There were at least 20 guests waiting in the lobby for rooms. I had a business meeting at 5 and needed to shower and change and get to Miami Beach, so this was unacceptable. I got a room when I threatened to call Wyndham corporation and complain about the way the hotel was being run.

Once into the room I was shocked at how small it was. Barely any room to move without suitcases, the bathroom was extremely small and run down as well. They need to knock down walls to make these rooms normal size, and this is coming from someone that has lived in the smallest quarters in New York City, so trust me the rooms are extremely small. There is no vibe at the hotel and NO PARKING. I would stay away until improvements were made.

Also, the elevator in the main building was out of order and the front desk didn't even know about it. Guests said it had not been working for a day. Also, in the smaller buildings there are no elevators AT ALL. They say you are on the first floor, but then there are stairs leading up to all the rooms anyway.

The hotel has a good localization and it is all.
There's no elevator and no staff, so we needed to carry our luggage up stairs.
At night when I woke up there was a roach in our room.

Hi i love this hotel. the staff is really nice. the hotel has went thru a renavation about a year ago and is really nice. the beds were comfortable. the only thing i did not like is the bathroom. it was really small. the location is the best. if you are in the area stay here.

My friends and I were in Florida for a week, We decided to take a small trip down to South Beach for a night. We were looking for a cheap hotel, but didnt want to spend a whole lot of money. I was a little weary of this hotel because of the bad reviews it got on this website. When we pulled in I went into the lobby and to get directions for parking. I waited for about 10 minutes as the lady at the front desk was chatting on the phone to what seemed to be another co-worker. Finally she got off the phone and directed me to a parking garage across the street that was connected to the police station. I felt very comfortable keeping my car there, it cost $20 but it was better than parking on the street and feeding a meter. Once we got to our room I was very happy with it. I was expecting a regular room but they upgraded us to a Junior Suite with a couch. The building was old but that was expected. The room was pretty clean and nicely decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the sheets were very soft. The hotel has a nice outdoor area that is HUGE compared to other hotels. This hotel was in a good location to everything in South Beach. I don't understand why so many people have had a negative experience. My friends and I found this place perfect and it met all of our basic needs. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, if you want to stay at the Ritz don't stay here.
