“Condo Rental 6345 Collins Ave. CasaBlanca Hotel and Condos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

Stayed from Dec 2 - Dec 6 within a private owner rental unit. Here is the benefit. You are not charged $17 dollars a day for valet parking. The down side is you have to get your own accessories if you run out, I.E. TP, paper towels, dish soap. No hassles with check in and no deposits up and above what your rental cost. The accommodations was clean and all owners on the 4th floor have balconies.

The pool is great with access to the beach. I did not eat at the bar or restaurant, so no rating for this. Easy to get around town. I had a car there, however, public bus runs 24 hours and can get you to anywhere you need to go.

Room Tip: Ocean view is nice!

“Could be South Florida's Best-Kept Secret”

We've stayed at the Casablanca every year since our son (now a teen) was a toddler. Started off as a hotel guest in the hotel rooms and eventually found some condo owners and have rented out condo units since. This place is a gem. Every unit has a kitchenette. It's right on the beach. We watch the sun rise every morning from our room (from our bed!). The pool and beach are both great. They've done a lot to the common areas--the lobby, the restaurant area, etc.--in recent years. It just keeps getting better. But one of the best parts about this place is the neighborhood. You can walk to so many wonderful restaurants and shops (including a strip of Brazilian and Argentine places just a few blocks away), plus Publix supermerket and Walgreen's (open 24/7). The area is way more chill than South Beach but you can still do a lot of stuff outside the Casabllance without a car. And if you want to go to South Beach, you can hop on a bus. There's always a nice mix of people there, too. Two places I highly recommend in the area: Campo Argentine Steakhouse (at 69th & Collins) and Izzy's Cubi-Thai (yes, Cuban/Thai fusion) (around 65th & Collins).

“casablance has a wonderful location, within steps to the beach and views are outstanding”

I stayed in the newly remodeled Casablanca Condominium for 1 week. Rooms were large and comfortable. Kitchen was fully furnished. Bed quite confortable.
Walked out the back door to the beach. Close enough to walk to nearby restaurants and supermarkets.
The staff at the front desk was always helpful.
Car was conveniently parked by staff everytime I went in or out. A real plus with all the crowded streets.
Would definitely vacation there again.

“This is a really nice hotel and so upgraded in the last year”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2010

I stayed in this hotel about a year ago when on business. I wanted a kitchen because I was staying for a couple of weeks. They were renovating so I got a good deal. I went back at Christmas this year because I liked the peaceful beach and mellow area as compared to the craziness of South Beach. But this location is very close to South Beach for all the fun. I was pleasantly surprised to see what a great face lift this hotel has had. The pool is sparkling, the lobby now pretty with modern furniture. The room I stayed in was clean, nice with a really comfy bed. Not perfect but lovely, sunny and with a huge balcony. I would definitely stay here again.

“Hotel that could double as a Horror film set....”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2009

Where do I start?
To begin with, I was on a business trip and decided to bring my finacee. We chose this hotel mainly b/c it was on the beach, and not too far from South Beach. How bad could it be? We had no idea what we were in for.
When we first walked into the lobby we noticed it was very very dark and gloomy. Almost as though they were missing lightbulbs---stark contrast from the bright sunny Miami day.
When we checked in, the front desk was rude, and barely spoke english. But for some reason were coming up with odd charges, for the room safe, room charge etc. Ridiculous nickel and dime stuff. Once we got past the front desk, we passed a security guard sitting by the elevators who looked disinterested and was sitting at a makeshift folddown picnic table.
We proceeded to our room on the 4th floor, the elevator seemed to be having issues, but finally opened. The hallways were very dark and ominous. We got to our room and it was filthy. At first we thought that there was a mistake---that the room was still occuppied. There was sand on the carpet ---and the rug didnt look like it had been vaccuumed in days. We were so mortified that we layed towels down and never took off our shoes. The bathroom had mildew galore. There was a kitchenette and the burners did not work---so I guess it was just for decoration. There was paint peeling from the walls and ceilings and the room was very damp. So mny lightbulbs were not working.
We decided to be good sports---we were in Miami Beach after all. So we went to go check out the pool which was okay and had ample lounge chairs. We decided to exit onto the beach through the pool gate. There was trash and broken glass everywhere- to the point that you had to be careful where you stepped. There were feral cats of every size & color in the alley between the pool and beach---with that many cats there has to be rats near by. Dumpsters wereoverflowing.
We stayed for 3 days and not one single day did housekeeping come by to give us fresh towels or sheets. We requested and they never bothered. In fact the room was littered with sand. The restaurant was empty and dark--- and plain creepy! The elevator stopped working on the 2nd day and you had to take the stairs which were dark and could double as a horror film set.
I travel extensively for my job at a global company all around the world. I can say this is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. PLEASE do not stay here. This place needs to be demolished----forget about rennovation. I would only recommend this place to any Hollywood director looking for a good location to film a horror movie.
