Not a bad hotel and worth considering if you’re not too fussy.

Cons:
- Toilet blocked after first use, but maintenance were up to fix it within 15mins. So we had to tip the maintenance guy.
- Rooms are a bit old now and this hotel probably needs refurbishing.
- The walls are very thin. So thin that you can just about make out conversations word for word, and good luck getting sleep in the wee hours of the morning if you have neighbours laughing and talking loudly as we did with some Spring Breakers next door!
- We received a wake-up call which we didn’t request on our final morning. It was a recorded message so we couldn’t tell them they had made an error.
- Sand came out of the iron when I went to iron a shirt.
- Small pool. They could do a lot better with the space they have in that area.
- Long walk to the heart of South Beach Miami – about 40mins. The closest place of any entertainment value is the Fontainebleau hotel which has a bar & nightclub. Not sure if you can use their awesome pool facilities if you’re not a guest though.

Pros:
- Close to the beach, but so are most Miami Beach hotels.
- Comfortable and relatively clean (except for the iron!).
- Breakfast in the lobby restaurant is great value. All you can eat breakfast with a great spread of food, juice and coffee.
- Customer service was good.
- Car space available upon request (at additional cost).
- FREE in-room WiFi internet access. This was brilliant and we made good use of it. We didn’t come across free in-room WiFi at any other hotel we stayed at in the USA.

Overall, the hotel was okay. The wafer thin walls are a concern but being able to fill up with a good breakfast relatively cheaply, and the free WiFi is where this hotel scored points from me. The walk to heart of South Beach Miami is about 40min along the boardwalk, and as you walk past many of the hotels you can’t help but wish you were staying at one of those rather than the Best Western. But having said that, it is a pleasant walk by the beach, even at night.
If on a tight budget, this is a place to consider, but something more modern would be better.

Spend one night at this location since I was going on a cruise. I should have looked for a motel 6, I would have done better.
Terrible parking at $26.00 per night, a half block away from hotel. No help to carry luggage to hotel. Fat guy sitting and talking to another person with no care.
Front desk, not even a hello or a welcome. Did not speak English. Did not even write the room number so that I knew which was my room,
We were there 1/14/12 and it was cold. I was freezing. Went to turn on heater, no heater.
Called the front desk and the hotel's central heating system is not working.
I was told they would bring up an electric heater. One hour later no heater. Went to turn on the television while we waited for the heater. Guess what? TV not working. Called front dest again they said they would send someone up. No one came up, now no tv no heater.
Sent my husband downstairs to see what was going on. He comes back and he was told someone would come up to help. 15 min. later someone did come up with 5 remote controls, none of them worked, meanwhile the electric heater showed up. It was turned on, but it did not seem to work very well. The guy with the remotes comes back up with more remotes, they did not work. There was something wrong with the cable connection.
The heater did not work during the night and I froze in the room.
Ask for the manager, to complain, from the phone in the room, went several times to front desk, he was never there nor available. After coming home I left messages, ont one reply to my calls. His name Dennis Camarota. Also to top it off, when paying from my room the front desk clerk kept my credit card, which I need to pay for my expenses aboard the ship.
A total nightmare. I guess they don't need the business. Please avoid this hotel at all cost when visiting Miami Beach

Very nice lobby, nice staff, room was clean and neat. Its a best western so I can't go 5 stars but pretty nice for a Best Western. The ocean view room had a ver pleasant view. Room service only for breakfast and NO PARKING. This is sort of an issue because the only lot very close in $25 per day without in/out privileges. Otherwise its sheet parking which wasn't extremley hard, but wash't easy either.

We arrived at 5:30 P.M., Our room wasn't ready despite a 4:00Pm check in time. Next we were informed that their was no parking and that we would have to find a public parking lot which cost us $32.00 for the evening. When we finally did get access to our room (at $212.00 a night) the room was tiny; the carpet was dirty; the bathroom was small and our ocean view (which we were told we would have when we reserved the room) was just barely an ocean view. I had to make some local phone calls so I checked the "guest services" binder in our room to see if there was a charge for local calls. According to the binder, there didn't seem to be any charges for local calls, but upon checking out, we were billed $7.00 for the calls I made. In addition to all of this, the desk staff was rude, smug, totally uncooperative, and totally unconcerned about us and our stay at this hotel. DO NOT stay here ....EVER!!!!!!!
