My wife and I stayed at the aqua for a scheduled (3) days but we only slept there for one night. We booked via Hotels.com which had this property listed as 2.45 stars. It was $350.00 a night. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the ground on which it sits. It is a decent location right on Collins and 15/16th. It is pretty much right across from the Lowes Hotel, which is a much better option. Now on to the review...

We were given room #219, which is on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator. So you have to lug your baggage up the stairs outside. The hotel is a deplorable condition! We were laughing when they showed pictures at the front desk on a a digital photo player. The rooms look nothing like this. So we get into the room and there is no carpet. They took the flooring material you use in your garage to seal the garage floor and that was the main floor coating in the room. You then have a 2" step to a collection of mismatched and warped wood flooring. There is a broken Ikea furniture for the table and chairs. The doors don't even shut! You have to slam them just to make them close as they have painted over the frames so many times instead of fixing the issue. The bathroom was old and all of the enamel was cracking. You can tell they came in with an enamel sprayer and then just sprayed over all of the items in the room. The tub, tile, sink, etc. They even sprayed over the fixtures.

The internet did not work at all, you can see the SSID being broadcasted and get an ip address but there were DNS issues. It looked like they just had wifi access points with no internet service behind it.

The valet car service was $20.00 a day but you had to pay cash. It took over an hour to get your car. We actually found our car parked on the street down on Collins and 8th one night.

I am interested to hear the Management response but trust me it is all BS! This hotel should be condemned! DO NOT STAY HERE! We moved across the street to the Lowes which is much better! It is worth the cost to move. The pictures speak for themselves.

By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. A 1 star rating is too high. The statement above from the hotel is a flat out lie!! It's not a cute boutique style, it's nasty! Took 30-45 minutes to get car from valet. Phone didn't work, iron was broken, shower and sink were disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Absolutely disgusting.

We have travelled around USA for 4 weeks and this place is the worst, Cold concrete floors, Bathroom smells of sullage,loud fridge no microwave,not allowed to use pool and was lied to by staff

This hotel was the best option for my trip! Good rooms, a very polite staff and it is in front of the beach!! I love it!!!!!!!!!
