On arrival our room wasn't ready even at a 4pm arrival! I wasn't offered any sort of apology and pointed to hotel bar but no free drink offered. Couple sat next to me at bar had been given free drink for lack of room- so I complained about being treated differently. Eventually got some sort of apology - but it took two lots of complaining. Wasn't happy about quality of fixtures and fittings in our room when we did arrive and no balcony either- despite booking pool view room on strength of getting balcony. Furniture was tired looking ikea furniture. Rooms large but walls paper thin and one would think there were elephants trampling upstairs. It was so loud when people walked around in the room above us. Location at south end of Miami beach was good. Fitness room v sparse and pool ok. Although annoying to pay extra for a resort fee. Not cool

Great South Beach hotel located near the end of Ocean Drive. Direct access to the beach includes an umbrella and lounge chairs. The two pools are beautiful and there is beverage and food service at the beach as well as at the pool. The room was kept in immaculate condition and the staff is very attentive. We had a couple of issues with the room which were corrected immediately; we requested a new shower head and the door to the safe box needed an adjustment, both immediately corrected. The hotel is located just south of 5th Street and is therefore in a quiet location unlike the hotels located between 5th Street and 15th Street. This was our second stay at the Savoy and we intend to stay here again in the future.

right on ocean so easy beach access. nice warmed pool. rooms clean...not fantastic but ok..a bit dated.service good.right next to all action but quiet.

We have been going to south beach during mid january for past 10 yrs adn the last 2 yrs we stayed at the Savoy. The first time we were surprised at the convenience to ocean drive w/o the noise plus the hotel has so much europena charm and is right on the beach...we really enjoyed our first experience. that brought us back the 2nd year...that's when we were blown away...the employees are all amazing and 1st class friendly and genuinely concerned with their guests..our rooms are updated this time and modernized...but still with the charm and the bar/restaurant service for breakfast and lunch is unparallelled and along the lines of being in a ritz carleton w.o all the fuss...our chef eddie made sure we had fresh fruit with our oatmeal, our waitress connie made sure our oatmeal came out with shaved cinnamon..carlos made wonderful recommendations for dinner and carleton was a super bartender with upmost politeness and class...manager Gary and his wife have really made a difference in the way the staff treats the guests and we will be sure to return every year and look forward to seeing the staff again! we recommend this hotel to everyone!
