I stayed at the Miami Resort and Spa a week ago and was fairly disappointed in the hotel. While I realize the price was a little less than the other hotels on Collins it should have been even cheaper. The hotel need MAJOR updating. Because it's so dated it feels dirty. I would say it's at least 20 years out of date. The walls in my room were a dingy yellow with marks and scuffs. The carpet was very old and dated and the decor in the lobby is gold with mirrors. The place is just old. I definitely would have spent a little more to stay in a nicer hotel rather than the price I paid for this hotel.

Last weekend I spent it with 6 other friends at Miami Beach Resort in Miami. It was a very nice experience from the moment we arrive to the check out. The place is gorgeous, the lobby is so elegant with those beautiful lights. The front desk was very helpful, and I would like to appreciate to CINTYA RIVERA, manager at the front desk who did an exceptional job with my friends at check in. I really recommend this resort to any body who is planning to visit Miami and the beaches.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and while it was over-priced, we feel it was a good value for the money. We even got upgraded to a junior suite (so we could check in early) for free! I would stay here again.
