This was my first stay at Lords. I was so impressed by the staff that I booked a room for Pride week in April. The staff (Aaron, Yusef, Brian the co-owner, Aurick, the former track star at the front desk, and others) treated me like family, helping me find restaurants and special events at gay clubs. They also invited me to the penthouse party Tuesday night, which featured DJ music, great drinks, and spectacular view of the city. The location is perfect, with Twist and Palace 2 blocks away, and Lincoln Ave and Espanola an easy 15 minute walk. The beach is two blocks away, and the 12th street gay beach is perfect for cruising and socializing. So many fine clothes shops on Collins just a few minutes walk. Lots of economical restaurants on Washington Avenue and Collins within an easy walk. I read some comments that were negative about the noise at night - if you want a quiet place without parties, fun, socializing, love, romance, music, people, etc, go to somewhere rural in central Florida ranchland. This is South Beach, and we come here for the excitement of this beautiful city.
