Good location : only 2' walk from Ocean Drive and the beach, right in the middle of Art Deco District !
Good comfort and design in the room (good bed, A/C working OK, nice bathroom with large shower) except the noise of an A/C machine outside : avoid room 303 ("mine") and rather try to get a room overlooking the 3 (very small yet nice) pools and terrace. Good wifi throughout the hotel.
Pls note that the bar and the hotel have 2 different owners. So if you book the hotel through a website, with breakfast included, do warn the reception during checkin, so that they give you that "yellow voucher" that you will have to give to the bar's (French) owners. Breakfast is à la carte and served on the terrace outside (on Collins Avenue).
Last thing : pls note the hotel is "gay friendly"

We only stayed for two days and were disappointed on three things:
1. Rooms weren't well maintained
A. AC didn't work well and the room was never cool enough
B. window was broken in the bathroom. Rm 309 so we had to keep bathroom door close to try to keep room cool
C. Door jammed making in difficult to get in the room
D. Wireless didn't work well

Free breakfast was not good

Staff was friendly but will never stay there again. This is from someone who is not too picky or critical. Overprice for what

Fun hotel, in an awesome location on S. Beach. You get free membership to equinox gym during your stay which is a top of the line gym. The hotel is stylish and the staff are really friendly. The breakfast that came with our groupon was fairly lame, very small portions and unimaginative menu. Apart from the breakfast and the walls being a little thin, I would totally recommend this hotel for S. beach fun.

I was visiting Miami Beach from LA and stopped in to see what the Lords was all about. The minute I got to the front desk I knew I had to stay here. The guy at the front desk, Aaron, was the nicest, happiest, well organized and informed hotel concierge I had the pleasure of speaking with in a very long time. He made me feel right at home and couldn't do enough for me!
Honestly, I thought he might be the owner. He isn't! I can't wait to come back to Miami Beach again so I can spend more time with Aaron. I wonder if he's married?
