Checking out today after spending 3 nights in sense. It's a beautiful hotel, in great location with great staff. Alex was great, really knows his stuff and tells you best places to go and where not to. Thanks for great stay.

The room - gorgeous! Service - exceptional! Location - if using public transport from miami int.airport, will take a little while to walk from where dropped off but otherwise - close to the beach (perfect for early morning sunrise), close to all bars/restaurants etc, walking distance to shopping.

The hotel location is superb as you can move around easily on foot. The famous Miami ink is only 10min walk away including Dash store and Collins avenue. The beach is a minute walk from the hotel door.

The staff at sense were very welcoming and friendly and advised us on where to go for cheap eats as well as shopping.

Ocean drive is the place to be if you are into cars as many show-offs like to drive their cars here.

When you get the chance, try the bus tour to Calle Ocho(Little Havana), Coral Gables, Star Island etc.

I usually always stay@ The Mondrian 2 or 3 times a year when I go to SoE but their rate this Jan was too high for my last minute trip so I took a chance and booked a hotel - Sense of South Beach, a hotel I never heard of (I travel a lot) and the risk paid offf. . I stumbled on Sense of South Beach Hotel on Bookit.com. I paid 1/2 the pricefor 3 nnights. Sense than I would have paid at Mondrian.

I Luv Luv Luv Sense South Beach hotel! For the price (they were running 30% off special), it was the same type of style room like Morgans Hotel Group (The Mondrian) - white linens, all glass shower, artsy furniture, cool colorful murual painted on wall). Note: No restaurant or bar in hotel, but who caress b/c everything is 1 or 2 blks away. The Sense just may have replaced The Mondrian as my go-to hotel and here's why. #1. Fantastic staff. Felt like I have know them for years they're so friendly & helpful. #2. Only 18 room hotel so peronal service level is better than conglomorate hotel with 100+ rooms. #3. Beach is 50 steps directly across street on 4th & Ocean. #4. Sennse is in newly upcoming revamped area called "SoFi" (South of 5th) so area is busy, but not too busy like north of 5th Ave. #5. Sense is also 3 blocks from my 2 fav restaurants, Big Pink (awesome turkey burger - gargantuan size patty & yum sweet potato fries!) & also Prime 112 (best food in SoBe, service is awesome, fun, crazy busy & celeb sitings & tons of Bentleys parked in tow). #6. Theres a rooftop pool,which is smaller, but not too small for the size of the hotel. I was @ the beach though & just viewed the pool area. I am already looking to book Sense South Beach agai in April. I can't wait to see the nice friendly staff again!
