Never in life have I gotten more bang with my buck for getaway lodging! I loved this boutique hotel. I'd love to come back! I wish they had more rooms because I would've stayed there for my upcoming trip. Unfortunately for me, they are completely booked.
The cleaning service was timely. The staff was courteous. The hotel looked and smelled great. The rooms were a tad small. But, who cares? Reserve a suite if space will be an issue. Short walk to the beach. A/C was a lifesaver in the Miami summer heat and humidity.
Stay at this hotel! You won't regret it :-)

Thanks a lot hotwire.com. I bid on a 3.5 star hotel and ended up paying $137 a night for a 3.5 star hotel. Problem is this is NOT a 3.5 star hotel. I would rate it a 1.5 star hotel so I got ripped off. I feel really sorry for those who pay full price. I'm going back to priceline.com, they never let me down!

The good: my experience with the staff was good. They were all very nice and helpful. the room size was ok (if you want to see small check out Japan). the bathroom was a bit small, but it's an OLD hotel. TVs were good with good channel selection. Mini bar with small fridge. Good location. Kind of fun concept and it is a Art Deco hotel. Oh the entry was nice and the exterior looked cool.

The bad: Old hotel = minimal insulation (a bit noisy). the worst part was one of the staff members walking up and down the marble floor hallway in her spike heels. She needs to wear soft shoes or put down a carpet runner, or move to the day shift! The beds were very marginal with some type of vinyl mosture barrier cover (yuk). I wonder what goes on here in some of the other rooms...GROSS! The towels were of good quality but some had a stain here and there. The bathroom door had some makeup smudges on it from a previous piggy. NO COFFEE, NO ICE MACHINE...really? Oh but you can get a $5 Mocha from the cranky Italian in the front. Parking in the street isn't cheap but nothing is in S. Beach...except Pizza Rusitca and Le Sandwichareia (both yummy & recommended!). Spaggato (another cranky Italian chef) next door is pretty dang good and a lot less expensive than the "Real" Italian resturant. There is a deck upstairs. There is NOTHING up there other than nice tile floor and a nice railing. This would be a great spot for outdoor furniture and an outdoor bar. WTF? Oh too much parfume in the entry and room smelled of something to cover up cigerette smoke. The maid service was marginal at best. Plastic cups in a 3.5 star hotel. Yeah...no. We did not get clean ones and we only recieved laundered bath towels. No hand towel replacements.

This place was a FAR CRY from the very posh 3.5 star 24 story hotel we stayed in Orlando for half the price. It reminded me of what a hair salon might be if it was a hotel. My teen daughter couldn't wait to get out of this place though so that should be an indicator. It didn't bother me that much other than I paid WAY too much for what I got in return.

I found this hotel to be worth the "discounted" price I paid! However, this is a full-priced which (in my opinion) is somewhat less enthusiastic. It’s located only a few short blocks from beach (about 3 blks behind Mango on Ocean Drive), Collins Avenue and Lincoln Row. Valet is $28 which isn't bad and they allow you in/out privileges during the 24 hours. Personally, I found street parking cheaper and not to hard to find in the immediate area based on the time of day and is free between 3:00AM-9:00AM which may not be an option if you're not the late night person or want to get up at 9AM to run outside to pay the meter. And the car was literally right outside the door of the hotel every morning so it wasn’t a problem. Downside: no bar, no room service and no really decent places to eat within the block (or 2). BUT Big Pinks at 1st and Collins has good reasonably priced food and they deliver 24 hours! Thank goodness! The rooms are small but offer a refrigerator. It is the only hotel I've stayed that did not have boxed tissue. No biggie. Just odd. Our room's window was less than 5 feet from a wall that pretty much blocked the natural light so I'd suggest getting a room "not" on the first floor. Their website gives an accurate room description but sometimes it's the little things that are left out that can really count that they don't tell you. Would I stay again? Sure if the price was right.
