this hotel is not worth be a marriot, because believe me, it is not. Inside the hotel everything needs to be renewed. Elevator smells like garbage and use his license to work has expired.
Regarding rooms, besides being small, need new furniture and headboards. The bathroom is too small and it is able only 1 person be inside. The overview it was everything was dirty. Concierge lounge was the worst I have ever seen in my life, small and with the aspect that was not taking care of him. You dont feel pleasure in this hotel as others marriot hotels. Even a Coutyard hotel is much better than this hotel. Moreover, location is good.

This hotel is on ocean drive but just a few blocks away from where all off the action starts on the strip. This was a good thing.
The rooms were small but comfy. The pool was great and so were the snacks you could order poolside. Yummy sliders!
We went there for a wedding. It took place out n the huge terrace over looking the water. It was great.

Just back from our first stay at this Marriott. Great hotel staff, from front desk to Sophia at the pool!! We were greeted with "welcome back" each time we left and returned for the day/evening.
Area is busy at night and loved that it was close to several great restaurants.
Pros: great location, on the beach, nice pool area and great hotel staff
Cons: rooms a little small; esp. the bathrooms and all could be updated, however everything was clean and tidy

We stayed at The Marriot South Beach for 2 nights in Summer of 2011. This property is located directly on the South Beach on 1st Oceans Drive and trust me it has the most amazing view of the Miami Beach. Being Marriot , you always expect quality & being on South Beach it delivers right on the money.

The beach facing rooms give you a great view. You can access the beach directly from the hotel. The hotel has the most amazing sea facing pool .

Rooms are a little small but fairly clean & well maintained. There are a few good dining options around the hotel and the best of all is the Nikki Beach , which is fairly close to the hotel. Overall a great hotel to stay in Miami specially because i have personally checked out abt 20-25 hotels on Ocean's Drive and most of them are old hotels which have be refurbished. However , Marriot is steeply priced but that you can expect that since its Miami !!!
