“Bijou hotel. Clean, good location, excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

A lovely change from the anonimity of large sprawling hotel chains. Attentive personal service, nice touches in the rooms(fresh berries, personal notes, and chocolates), close to beach and to Lincoln Mall, where there are many good restaurants from which to choose. Much enjoyed the breakfast (although not included in the price), sitting in the covered outdoor patio area. The bedrooms are small, but very well appointed and are charming (white curtains with pockets containing lavendar sprigs). Enjoyed sitting outside by the outdoor spa. Iced lemon water was available. Will definitely go back to the Cadet, when next in Miami.

“Clean, Good location, comfortable, friendly and fairly quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012 via mobile

2 blocks from Lincoln Mall and 2 blocks from beach make Cadet a safe bet. Book directly with hotel to guarantee a room on 2nd floor by spa to avoid loud road and construction noise. We were on the first floor and the second was not carpeted. The guy above must have been wearing Dutch Clogs while prancing through his room at 4am. Nice staff and great spa. Free Evian appreciated. Lush landscaping impressive for the price. Comfy bath robes and beach towels as well as discounted beach chair and umbrella rentals a plus. Bottom line, Unless you are on the beach with a big pool u are not going to do better anywhere in S B, and if its priced comparable to Cadet on the beach it will probably have hookers and hoodlums as well. However,

“Charming and delightful to stay at the Cadet Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

This hotel is the best deal in South Beach. I just spent 5 nights there at the end of January.
It is centrally located, well designed, soooo clean, charming, well maintained and the staff is just the best! They now have a delightful outdoor spa and a world class restaurant (Pied a Terre)open for dinner. Beach towels are available at the front desk and chaise/umbrella discount cards are given out so you can rent cushioned chaises, umbrellas and cabanas at the ocean, which is one block away! At $160/night for our room for two, this was a real deal. Since this is a boutique hotel, the rooms are a bit on the small side, but more than adequate.

“Awesome stay!”

Cadet is a boutique like hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in December 2011. I must say that I'm happy I booked here! The hotel is very well located (3 blocks away from the beach, 1 block away from Collins Av., 1 block from Lincoln Rd and 3 blocks away from Espagnola Way), is very quiet and the staff is super kind. The room was neat and clean, with some chocolates and a personalized welcome letter. Every afternoon you get a bottle of water for free and the day before you check out, a goodbye letter. I mean, of course the letter isn't "important" to consider when booking a hotel, but it is a nice gesture. The room (A queen bed one) wasn't very big but we were fine, you have a TV, safe box and a nice desk, the bathroom was fine and smelling great with good quality ammenities.

The day that we checked out we could leave our luggage at the hotel and then came back to pick it up later. We needed a cab and the girl at the front desk kindly called one for us.

We had a very pleasant stay because everything was clean, neat, the staff was very nice and they would help us everyime we needed somethig, it is a quiet hotel, more family like and the location is great because you are near everything but don't have to cope with all the noise.
Plus, you can ask for beach towels for free!

There isn't much I can say about the parking system, the hotel doesn't seem to have parking, but there is a parking lot across the street (maybe the hotel has valet parking and I wasn't aware of that, so better check that out)

We would definitely stay there again!

“Stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

This place is great. The staff are super in that they are polite, helpful, responsive and sincere. The room we stayed in was the only one they had with 2 queen beds. It was clean, attractive and the windows faced a small courtyard. The beds were very comfortable and each night they put out small chocolates in a little box on each bed. A nice touch along with a fresh rose in a vase. At night it was quiet. Downstairs was a sweet courtyard area with lounge chairs facing a lovely jacuzzi area. You could be in the sun or sit on a comfy couch under cover. There was also a long table with comfy chairs should you prefer that. Fresh water and glasses were provided as well. Breakfast was also offered downstairs but not included in the room rate. I found it fairly expensive so we ate elsewhere. Also the air conditioning had to be adjusted by the front desk (no remote in the room) which wasn't a problem for us but others might not like it. They've made a lot of effort to make the hotel attractive and welcoming and they've been successful! Very importantly there were no hidden charges or extras - just the room rate plus taxes. Very up front about everything. Stay here!
