My husband and I stayed here this past weekend and it was great for the theme of our trip:
he had to work so I needed a place close to everything to keep me occupied. The beach is directly across the street and any restaurant, boutique or pharmacy you may need is only a short walk away. Perfect for me considering I did not have a car. We stayed in the older part of the hotel, which has its own aged charm that I don't mind. I'm very picky about beds and clean rooms and we definitely got both. The room/bathroom/bed were all very clean. Small, but clean. I left for a jaunt outside - within an hour, the maid service had already freshened up the room which was very welcoming. If you do have a car, parking is $28/day but the valet staff is prompt and kind. Complimentary towels for the beach/pool is a plus and the staff working was very pleasant. Didn't have the breakfast as I liked to hike it down to Starbucks for a bagel and chai to enjoy as I walk back via the beach (about 2 miles round-trip - I love a good stroll) Didn't use the mini-bar. CVS was right around the corner - buy your water/alcohol/snacks here because you'll probably be close to broke after eating out all weekend.

The Park Central gave us the total South Beach, Ocean Drive experience. It is located in a great spot to walk all over South Beach and to go across the street to the Beach, where they have beach chairs available for guests.
While the neighborhood is busy, the hotel is quiet with no club or big bar downstairs, which was perfect to come back to after going out on saturday night. The staff are really friendly always offering help or suggestions on where to go and eat. They were super accomodating when we checked in and let us check out 2 different rooms and pick the one we liked the best. We chose a 5th floor room with a better view and there was no rooftop sundeck noise as I've read about in other reviews.
The Lobby is very nicely decorated and the pool area is small, but adequate. The rooftop sundeck is really nice with SUPER COMFY lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun.
All in Alll, I'd stay there again. From what i've heard it's one of the best deals for an Art Deco Hotel on Ocean Drive.

We went to Park Central Hotel last January for five days. As we used to book at this boutique hotel since, at least, five years, we feel there as a "home away from home". The location is perfect. You can park your car in a public garage very close to the hotel, paying $15/day.
The staff is very friendly and eager for helping you about directions and useful tips.
The rooms, mainly ocean front and ocean lateral view are nice and comfortable. You can sunbath on the rooftop or enjoy the pool at the street level.
Don't use the "complimentary cards" for continental breakfast on the "Park Central Cafe", aside from the hotel, 650 Ocean Dr. (it has the same name but it's not really linked to the hotel!), cause they use to discriminate you! We have to wait more than 20 minutes to the waiters to look at us! On the other hand, if you are street costumers without that "complimentary card" you will be served in seconds!
But overall this is our hotel in Miami Beach. We would love to go back there everytime (no more "complimentary breakfast, please!).

We stayed in the older section of the hotel - not in the main building and I was pleasantly surprised by the compact but clean, all-white hotel 'appartment' we were given. The bed was really comfy and the place was just fine - nice and quiet too as it's down at the bottom end of Ocean Drive. We got up at 5am to go and see the sunrise on the beach - which is directly across the road... it was lovely! There is a rooftop pool and sun lounging area which was great when South Beach got a bit too crowded...
