After reading all the reviews, we were expecting the worst hotel experience ever. To our surprise, the room was not bad at all. It was old and rundown, but for the location, the price cannot be beat. The room was overall pretty clean, although the carpet did smell a bit moldy and there were a few stray hairs in the bathroom. We didn't see one bug during our stay. Our room was in the back of the hotel, away from Ocean Drive, so it was very quiet. There was also a nice new flat screen tv. I don't know that I'd want to stay there for a more than a couple of nights, but for our purposes (to be in the heart of South Beach), it was a fine hotel.

YOU WILL NOT EVEN BE ABLE TO SLEEP DUE TO THE NOISE LEVEL AND THE FEAR OF BUGS. I KEPT MY LIGHT ON ALL NIGHT DUE TO THE ROACHES. THE HOTEL OWNER WON'T GIVE YOU A DIME BACK! BOOK A HOTEL IN WASHINGTON OR COLLIN STREET WHICH RUN PARALLEL TO OCEAN DRIVE. THIS IS THE WORST "HOTEL" IN ALL OF AFRICA, ASIA AND NORTH AMERICA. KEEP AWAY!!!!! The Boulevard hotel has broken doors, roaches, construction that goes on throughout the night, hotel restaurant staff congregate in the hotel alley making noise, hotel restaurant cleaning carpets from 12 am to about 5am, dirty carpets, a fine film of dust covering the entire room (from the roof as I was told the hotel was old), filthy beddings, etc. On my last night of stay I could not sleep due to the noise as the restaurant crew was cleaning carpets in the alley from 12am to 5am. I nearly called 911 but decided to take a shower and leave my hotel at 06:00 instead of 09:00 as my flight was at 11:45.

Me and my husband were supposed to stay at the Boulevard hotel for 4 nights, but checked out the first night. The room was TOTALLY moldy, the stench was HORRIBLE! All our clothes smelled of mold/mildew and we had to take them straight to dry cleaning/laundry specialists. There were hair in the bathroom, the carpets are horrible, the room is super dirty. I´ve stayed in +50 motels and hotels all over the world, and this was the worst place I´ve ever set my foot. Avoid this place at all costs, it´s HORRIBLE!!!!!! I have no idea how they´re even allowed to keep it going, the healt inspectors should shut it down, since it´s not only nasty, but a serious healt hazard for ppl allergic to mold. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, seriously!!!!!!!!

This place was freaking nasty!! felt like I fell into another time warp where everything was old fashioned and cockroaches ran the world!! I seen 2 cockroaches in the first 5 mins of my arrival these roaches were big like half of my fist no lie!!! The room was dirty had stains everywhere the room stank like dead carcass was tucked under the dirty carpet! I do not suggest this place to no body!!! the location was great the staff was friendly but the rooms *barf sound* No!!! I ended up only getting changed in that room did not sleep in it stayed on the beach until check out time :( waste of time! I wouldnt even go back and rent that room if they gave it to me for 25 cents!!! 1 MILLION THUMBS DOWN TO THE HOTEL AND 1 MILLION THUMBS DOWN FOR THE ROACHES WHO DIDNT EVEN HELP ME PAY FOR THE ROOM THAT NIGHT!!!
