Check in: The room rate was not correct even though multiple e-mails were exchanged confirming my room reservation and rate. I asked to change rooms for a higher floor but was not told that the new room was "handicapped equipped". Result: Large bathroom with no space for toiletries, no toilet cover and an unnecessary walk in shower with sitting stool. Also, there was a tiny area in a dark corner with 3 hangers but no closet. Large armoire had coffee pot with no outlet to plug it in. Changes to accommodate the handicapped seemed unfinished or temporary.
Called for an iron but it wasn't delivered. After second call I was sent an iron without an ironing board. Only outlet was on nightstand. Iron didn't work and water leaked out onto the towels on the bed.(Best I could do without the board)
Overall, the hotel rooms and halls need painting and some renovation.
Finally, I found someone from 'security' knocking on my door at 9:30 PM to ask if I had enjoyed dinner inappropriate, especially as a woman traveling alone. Needless to say, I did not open the door.
Convenient location but next time will opt for a nearby hotel with shuttle service.
