The complimentary shuttle bus picked us up from the airport immediately and had us to the hotel in minutes. We were in our room quickly and the hotel restaurant served a great breakfast. After a night on a plane we needed a good sleep and it was quiet despite the proximity to the airport. We were unfortunate that we arrived on the coldest day that Miami had experienced for some years but when I asked for the air con to be fixed a serviceman arrived in minutes and had the room warm very quickly. We ordered room service late at night and the food was delivered fast. A shuttle bus is available to take cruise passengers to the port and you just need to book with the front desk. Hotel is clean and comfortable and the service and food in the restaurant is good.

just a short review to tell anyone wishing to stay here even for the day - DON'T- room was dirty, wallpaper ripped, smelly definitely would not have stayed night. Pool was just as bad, freezing water in pool and generally just not clean. However restaurants did look nice but we didnt dine in any.

This was our first stay at this property. We had just returned to the states from a cruise to the Bahamas and we reserved our room through the cruiseline. This hotel is very conveniently located near the airport. We found the service to be exceptional. We were greeted warmly by the Doorman as well as the Front Desk Clerk who went out of his way to be helpful to us. After we arrived in our room, we contacted the Concierge to request a taxi and one was waiting for us by the time we made it down to the lobby.

This property is a little older but we didn't see the signs of wear and tear that others have commented on in previous reviews. Our room was very comfortable, very clean, and very quiet. I was concerned about noise considering its' proximity to the airport but I heard very little noise.

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and found both the food, and the service, very good. The cost was a bit pricey but not unreasonable.

Overall, this is a very nice hotel.

We stay here when leaving early out of Miami airport. The Sofitel never disappoints - clean, fresh and very good restaurant.
