Upon arrival to the Motel Blu we found it to be in an unsafe area with music blasting through the courtyard, trash throughout the grounds, cigarettes still burning on the stairways, mucus dripping from the hand rails and an individual sitting outside his rooms smoking marijuana. Once given the key card to our room, we found it was occupied by another guest. The second room we were given was equipped with a single bed and a tattered comforter laced with cigarette burns, rather than the 2 Full Beds as per our agreement. The third room wreaked of Orange Oder Eliminator and had only 1 functioning light switch. The fourth and final room offered was missing the screens to the windows that did not lock and had exposed bulbs & wiring that was clearly not within the limits of any safety codes.

The negative reviews in this site are TRUE! TRUST THEM! Stay away of this motel unless you are only planning to use it for sleeping while been busy around Miami ALL DAY LONG. The rooms are very dirty, nasty and smell bad. Service is TERRIBLE. There's no TV Cable and no working Wi-Fi. Beds are horrible, carpet is scary, towels feel dirty, etc etc. The surroundings of this motel sucks too... very creepy, ugly and dangerous. Please find somewhere else to spend the night. You will regret staying in this motel.

This motel is not as advertised! They advertise "ocean view" and the only view is the canal across the street. Room was clean, however, maid service was not provided daily and when they came they would just hang dirty towels back on the rack or take them and not provide clean towels. There was a huge crack in door to outside, windows did not have room darkening privacy drapes as advertised in ammenities, rather sheers that did not fit properly. There was no room decor, no phone in room, and when I tried to call the desk from my cell phone on multiple occassions, no one answered the phone. The cable had been out for a while and there was no cable tv at all during my 5 day stay. The speaker by the pool blasted loud music well past 10 PM. Also, there was no hot water for two days. Motel was located next to a strip club and in a shady part of town. Also was within a ten minute drive of the beach, as opposed to a five minute walk as alluded to. Overall, it was a poor stay but because I had paid up front, there were no refunds so felt I had no alternative. Would not recommend staying here, especially with a family such as I had done, did not feel safe at all. Only saw security guard on last evening of stay.

We looked at a few other hotels in Miami before we chose this one, and we were happy with our choice.

Rooms: Clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The furniture in our room was new, and they cleaned the romos everyday.

Location: Bus stops are outsiede fo motel that take you to the beach, and downtown. I felt safe walking to the restaurants around the area at night.

Staff: Friendly, and helpful. The housekeeprs were nice, and cleaned my room everyday, and the desk staff was friendly and allowed me to use their phone.

Great value for the money. They give you free breakfast, and parking which saved us some money, which was great. I would reccommend this to my friends and family.
