The room & hotel is very basic. Seems like all luxuries have been removed to save the money. No bed side lamps which makes the room very dark in the evening (only one tall lamp). Only 2 bath towels (no bath mat, hand towels, etc). Shower is basically dripping so it takes three times longer to wash. No wireless internet in the rooms (I'm pressuming due to the additional cost to boost the signal) however Wifi available in the lobby. Ironing board in the room but no iron. When the room was cleaned and bedding changed, the pillowcase was too small for the pillow. I actually couldn't believe they would leave it like that (see pictures). Breakfast is very poor too, cereal, milk, coffee, one type of bagel, dried up pastries. Swimming pool and one of the elevators was not working. The reception guy was nice and polite. If you just need a bed to sleep in (literally) then you can get that, but even that's questionable.

I hate strongly hotwire to put this hotel into the list and give it a two star, that's totally cheating!
I know I can't get refund but the truth is, I checked in the hotel and then immediately I rebook another hotel (finally Marriot Residence Inn) for that night through priceline so I paid two hotels during that day. This hotel is like what you see from black gangster's movie where those drug dealer like to stay. Bad service, no internet at room, all are dirty and smelling, only one lamp at room making you feel scared when stepping in, dirty sheet at all, etc. The guests there are looking weird also. So get smarter, don't bid or buy if you don't know what hotel you gonna get. That's why I almost not use hotwire any more. Living here is silly! You might get shot or robbed.

My firend and I booked this hotel because she had a business seminar that weekend, we were told that this was a family atmosphere area with restraunts and mall within walking distance, as well as a great place to stay and that it was in a good area. I have news for you...as soon as we got to the door to walk in we were asked if we had any marijuana we wanted to sell and what our rm. number was...as soon as we walked in the door the smell was so bad....they had a sign on the front desk that the pool was out of service, and we were told that there was a pool for use, and there was also a sign on the front desk about not ordering food from people. we got up too the rm. reluctantly and people had there doors open and hanging in the halls. when we opened the door, well you can imagine,...white stains all over carpet, holes in the furniture and everything was dirty and tv,. from the 70's, and the bathroom was disgusting, well there was no way we felt safe enough to stay there, especially 2 white females in that horrible area with drugs being sold there....the police were there and everything. we called the number we made the reservation through and they said we couldn't get our money back. so I called today and am waiting for an answer on that as we speak. This place needs to be shut down, and people shouldn't lie about what they have to offer to people that aren't familiar with the Miami area at all....We left and went to another hotel near the hotel.

This hotel could have been a beautiful place at one time. It looks very old and needs a facelift to make it at least a 3 star hotel. We only sleep here after driving around Miami and Fort Lauderdale. We stayed here for four nights and we find the room clean with good airconditioning. Our room was cleaned daily, towels and sheets changed daily as well. It was quiet and the clerks were friendly and helpful. We can only view few channels in the room TV but we only watch the news and the weather. For the price, I have nothing to complain.
