Just spent 4 nights in this hotel. Positive: no problem with front desk staff (except they don't answer the phone and no wake-up calls). They were helpful as far as they could be. Blow dryer didn't work - was replaced same day. Room was dark and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Close to metromover.
Negatives: no blanket on bed - just sheet and bedspread (& we all know we don't want those near our bodies); walls were filthy; no coffee machine; no hot water in shower for 2 days out of 4; toilet wouldn't flush; sink backed up; carpet was filthy; had to have key re-keyed 3 times to get in room; only get 1 room key; nasty all-carb, all-sweet breakfast; breakfast started at 8 so cldn't even get coffee! business people are gone long before that. guess it's cheaper that way?; only 1 elevator worked 3 days out of 4; no internet access in room; lousy lighting in room; bottom drawer fell apart when I opened it; don't walk on carpet with bare feet; obligatory safe fee of $2/day; no hand towels - bath towels and one face cloth; no printer at computer downstairs (altho desk staff printed off our boarding passes for us).
A total rip-off for $220 with tax per night through hotels.com!!!!!! We might have endured all of the above except for the ridiculous price. We feel totally ripped off by both the hotel and hotels.com.
