This was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. There was no hot water in the evening. We were told by the desk that an engineer would be up to check the problem, but that was a lie, as we were later told there is a well known problem with the hot water whenever the hotel is at a high occupancy. The room safe was on the bottom shelf of the lower cabinet and is only usable if one is laying on the floor. The safe malfunctioned and needed to be opened by the security officer, who had to lay on the floor to open it and he couldn't even see what he was doing, as the room was too dark to see anything, something the assistant manager described as a "unique feature" of the hotel. (If one wants a low lit, romantic environment, all one needs to do is turn down the lights.) The toilet ran all night, apparently from a leaking flapper and, every time the water level dropped, the toilet went into fill-up mode. There was a beeping noise in the room, the source of which we could not determine. There is no insulation in your walls and every time someone around us used the shower or flushed a toilet we heard it. The air-conditioning was not working on our floor. We waited over 6 hours to get a light bulb replaced.
Other "unique features" of the hotel are: rooms so dark you can't even comb your hair or shave, wide open bathrooms so you can observe your roommate shower or bathe while you watch TV, outlets for the desk which are only accessible by climbing under the desk, no ice machine on the floor and an ice bucket that weighs 25 pounds and a mirror facing you when you enter the dark room, which you don't realize is there until you crash into it.
