My husband and I stayed here for a night on our honeymoon. We spent the rest of the week near Orlando, and if I had to do it again, we would have spent the whole time here. The staff was super helpful. We arrived five hours before check in time, but they allowed us to check in anyway. (The warm cookie upon arrival was a nice touch that I wasn't expecting.) We were also allowed a late check out for a small fee, but it was worth every penny to stay on the beach all the longer. Room was quite large. We were talking about returning before we'd even left.

Very comfortable room, although needed a little work--the tack strip was exposed between carpet and tile in the sink area. The room was SPOTLESS, the bed was oh-so-soft, and the balcony overlooking the Atlantic was perfect. I could keep my sliding door open and listen to the waves whenever I was in the room! Small fridge & microwave were great for snacks, and the flat-scree TVs (one in the bedroom area, one in the sitting area) were both very sharp. The only downside was that this hotel still uses wired internet access, and the cable was down in my room. After a couple of calls to the support people, the hotel let me into another room so I could Skype home and talk with my son. VERY good service here! Loved this hotel, and I hope I can return.

We enjoyed our last stay, and are in the process of planning another stay this spring on our way to Disney.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area, at the time I was pregnant and just wanted to relax with my husband and son before heading to Orlando. From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and accommodating.
We are Hhonors gold members, so we stay at a few Hilton properties a year (From Waldorf to Hampton Inn and all in between) and we were not disappointed by this property at all. To address what others have mentioned this property seems to have been converted from another brand hotel, the suites are small - but they are suites, and we enjoy having the separate room to hang out and watch TV in after we put our children to bed. Yes the rooms are accessed from the outside, a bit motel like, so it is true that the front room is a bit dark with the blinds drawn for privacy, but honestly if it was a hallway outside there would be no natural light? It probably could use a little updating, but our room was clean and comfortable. We had no complaints with our room. If you want a more luxurious $400+ Hilton suite than that is what you should book, this Double Tree delivers very good accommodations at a very good price and a beautiful quiet beach setting. The pool area was clean with a nice bar area and easy access to the beach. The breakfast was very nice, though truth be told once we found The Blueberry Muffin (a restaurant down the street) we could not wait to come back for their breakfast alone- so if you don’t mind waiting on line definitely stop by the Blueberry Muffin :)
I think as a traveler it is always important to have reasonable expectations- for the price and location, and a very nice staff this property met our expectations, and as I said in my first sentence we are planning a trip back.

We stayed at Doubletree the last week of 2011. Very nice, clean hotel steps from Atlantic Ocean. All suites overlooking ocean. Wonderful staff; helpful and friendly; even on the holidays that they had to be at work. Restaurant is okay and outside pool area bar and bistro also good but a bit pricey.
Great location close to shopping and many great restaurants.
