This past weekend we attended a corporate training event at the Radisson, only to find it in need of repairs/remodeling. There were no signs indicating "renovations underway" so we could only assume that this was the best to be expected. The hotel lobby was bare (no decorations/paintings, etc) with only a few chairs and a couple of tables. The walls were in serious need of repainting and the carpeting looked worn and dirty. Even the bar area had A/C vent fans just above head level that were clearly rusted for some period of time. There were wires dangling from the television and a huge cracked mirror on the wall. The cost of a regular cup of coffee was $3.75 and the service was slow. The positive points we found were clean restrooms, free parking and that the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Although we were not staying at the hotel, based on the lobby appearance itself, we would have done an about-face if we were considering staying there. I recommend that some signage be placed to ensure travelers that this is not their normal look.

What a great way to celebrate Christmas Eve! A beautiful room with fantastic views, very clean. All rooms are oceanfront. We had a delicious breakfast in their restaurant. It was a very good experience and I'll be staying there again soon.

I agree with previous contributors on many points.
On the down side although the “Sleep by Numbers” bed was comfortable it did not work at all, and the balcony doors didn’t secure well, allowing the wind to whistle in. The breakfast deal is not worth the effort, a $20 voucher (which excludes taxes and service charge) will just buy you coffee, juice and toast for two.
On the more positive side both the rooms (2 room suite) very spacious, light and quiet, other than the sea, of course. They were clean and well decorated, except for very minor unfinished work in the bathroom. The furniture was a little dated but in good order. (But see below).
Overall I would rate the room experience as good to very good.
We had an upper floor room which, although good, had not been refurbished. However, I noticed many lower floor rooms were being refurbished, including new balcony rails and room furniture. Unfortunately the exterior doors appeared original. (Management; please post correction if appropriate). This work didn’t cause us any disturbance, however.
The staff were polite and helpful.
I would definitely return to this hotel, albeit without a breakfast deal. It would be interesting to try a refurbished room next time.
Note there is a “Melos” Italian restaurant (Italian = a New York Clam Chowder soup of the day, and Gelato? What’s Gelato?) nearby which was pretty good, staff just a little overenthusiastic, checking that everything is alright every few mouthfuls
