“Nice Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2010

The rooms were very nice and clean. We had a three bedroom and there was plenty of room for 6 of us. There was a bar at the pool but it was not open. It will be nice once it opens. The pool is small and it closes at dusk which stinks especially when you have kids who want to swim at night. They have beach umbrellas, sand toys and beach chairs that you can use for the beach. The place is not on the beach but a short drive. There is a Winn Dixie right next door which is convenient.

“STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!”

Stay away from this place! The staff are rude, not helpful, and the manager is very unprofessional. The pool is small and there is nothing else to do at this timeshare. The cost is high for not being on the beach and for the terrible customer service that you receive. Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at 10am no matter what. Don't even waste your time asking for a late check-out, the staff would not give a late check-out for a wedding party that stayed over! I overheard a guest ask where their shuttle goes and the man behind the counter responded "to hell"!!! Spend your money some place else!!!

The Staff and Management at Sunset Cove pride ourselves in giving great customer service and making each and every Guest stay a "Vacation to Remember"! If you ask our owners and majority of our guest they will agree! Unforntunately we can not make everyone happy. This particular guest checked out on Memorial Day morning. We were not able to give a late check-out as we were booked on this very busy day. We need to accomidate all of our guests checking in with the same consideration that this guest received upon their arrival. This was a wedding party that had several rooms that would have all liked a late check-out as they had a late night on the previous evening. We do grant late check-outs on a case by case basis. I wish this guest would have been happy upon their departure; but the remainder of the wedding party had rave reviews when they checked out. If you are looking to stay on Marco Island; Sunset Cove is a great value that you will not be disappointed with. I invite this guest to come back and visit us again and truely experience the Marco Island and Sunset Cove experience.

“Not on beach but a winner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2010

This is a timeshare resort that leases units when unoccupied (or sold) probably. I say unit becasue ours was 3 bedroom, 2 bath with full, equipped kitchen and a washer-dryer. Had a screened in balcony as well. Nice furnishings and more like a home than a hotel. There is a Winn Dixie grocery store immediately next door which is handy as we found we used the kitchen more than we expected. Our unit was on the 6th floor so we had far view of the ocean but the complex is on one of the many canals on Marco so it was a decent environment anyway. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby.

Nice pool area along canal with what looked like a bar area (was closed).

Overall nice experience and we will definitely look at again when we return.

“Peace and quiet in elegant surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 March 2009

Our first visit to Marco Island, with friends from the UK joining us, was excellent. So much so, we are returning there in July this year (2009!) Sunset Cove condo's are beautifully appointed, and staff at the building are well-informed, courteous and helpful. Beaches on Marco are so-so, with the "Resident's" beach being the best of course, and not open to the public (resident's permit required) Surrounding area enjoyable, especially Naples, lots of great golf courses (public as well as private) Marco Island is a quiet community of mostly retired folks who want a peaceful life. Perfect for a relaxing holiday, but not so much if you're looking to party! Would highly recommend Sunset Cove though...

“Nice and clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2008

We are Hilton Grand Vacation Club owners and booked a 5 night stay at Sunset Cove using our Club points. The unit was very clean and had everything we could need. We went with another couple so the two large bedrooms with king beds were ideal. The 3rd bedroom we used for our luggage and to iron in. It would be ideal for a large family. The washer/dryer was a plus so we didn't have to pack as many clothes. It had a small, but very nice pool that overlooked the canal. There was not beach access, but it was just a short drive away. It was so nice having a full kitchen there so we saved alot of money by eating breakfast and a few lunches in the room. They have a DVD machine downstairs that rents single DVD's or a 3 or 6 day unlimited amount which was a great deal if you had a family and wanted to settel in with a new movie everynight. The front desk was very nice, but not very knowlegable about the surrounding area and what there was to do there. The resturant and bar were due to have opened by the time we went, but unfortunatly it was still in the works. So there was nothing to do at the resort but swim and sleep, which was fine by us since we had plans to do a few tours and the beach while we were there. We went to South Beach which was just a short drive away and had a great time. The beach does not have any concessions or chair rentals. However, the front desk does let you borrow beach chairs to take with you wich was a nice perk. We just packed a cooler and drove over. It does cost $6 to park, but well worth it for a day in the sun. The beach is covered in sea shells, so make sure you have flip flops or water shoes on near the water. I have never seen so many shells in one place! Besides the rain for 2 days of our trip, we had a great time!

  • Liked — Full kitchen and cleanliness
  • Disliked — No resturant or bar
