We stayed at the MI Lakeside Inn for 1 week and were very pleased with the Inn. It is an older property but is very well maintained. The 1 BR unit was very clean; the housekeeping staff was outstanding. The kitchen had full-sized appliances and had all dishes,etc. The office staff was extremely helpful and courteous. As others have noted, the Inn is off the main drag but is a five-minute (at most) drive to restaurants and beaches. Nice pool and screened-in porches that overlook a small lake. Very quiet and peaceful place to stay! Be sure to ask about Isabel the cat- she was our pet for the week :)

My husband and I vacationed at Marco Island for one week. We stayed at the Marco Lakeside Inn. We were very satisfied. Everyone was very courteous and helpful with everything we needed. I also would like to comment on the ladies who did the daily cleaning . Everyone was very professional and concerned that we had everything that we needed. The room was nicely furnished and decorated. There was a kitchenette that we used everyday. Everything we needed was furnished in the kithcenette. We were very pleased with the Inn and would stay there again.

Overall I was very happy with my stay at Marco Island Lake Side Inn. We were only there for one night but the room was very clean and the property had a nice pool and beautiful Lake side views. It is off of the main strip and beach by a few miles so you do need a car to get to the restaurants or the beach. It is mostly a residential area surrounding the hotel and seemed very safe when I was out on my early morning run. The staff was very pleasant. The price was good for the location considering ocean front hotels were quite a bit more. The only thing I didn't like was that my room smelled like cleaning supplies. I guess that is better though than having a dirty room, but we did have to leave the door open for the first few hours to get ride of the smell.

I researched reviews on Marco Island Lakeside Inn before booking our 2 night stay and every review I found was great. I have to say that they certainly didnt let me down! This is a very charming place that is off the beaten path. Our suite was better than I had expected and the furnishings were of top quality. If we're lucky enough to make it back to Marco Island someday this is certainly where we will be staying!
