“Sea Breeze Condominiums - #207”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

A happy return to Sea Breeze #207 in January 2012... our last stay was in April 2010.

The owners have kept the place up very nicely and the little nuances of Sea Breeze 207 are what keep us coming back. But of course- Location, Location Location - Sea Breeze is ideally located on the Gulf of Mexico, the view from the balcony at sunset would inspire a poet.

A short walk along pristine beaches to "John's Pass" (www.johnspass.com) provides an afternoon of entertainment, shopping and water sports.

But of course, all the location in the world would not work if the accomodations were not acceptable. Sea Breeze Condos have to be evaluated specifically to each condo as they are individually owned and operated. The facility is nicely kept up, with daily cleaning around the pool area. The grounds are well groomed and the addition of WIFI on the whole grounds was a nice surprise!

Our deepest thanks to the owners of Sea Breeze #207 who keep up our little slice of heaven on the Gulf of Mexico..... we will be back!!

Room Tip: Approximately 45 minutes west of Tampa International Airport

“Beautifully kept condo with all the comforts of home!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We travelled from Ontario Canada and stayed at the Sea Breeze for 3 nights in December 2011. We usually stay in St. Pete Beach or Treasure Island (only minutes away) but decided to try something new.

Tips - management office is not on site - it's 3 blocks down and you must pick up the keys there first.

Upon arriving at the Sea Breeze parking lot, I wanted to leave! Our first impressions of the building were not great. (However, this is proof that first impressions don't always count!)

Yes, the elevator is slow - but not that bad. Maybe in the summer when it's really hot out the elevator may be more of an issue. There's just 1 elevator for the whole building so it does get busy. The staff keeps a couple of big shopping carts below so you can put groceries/luggage/etc in it to transport items to your room. Nice idea.

Regarding Condo # 508 - It is immaculate! VERY spacious, Super clean, and FULLY stocked. Full kitchen with EVERYTHING you could want in it. (Stove/oven, huge fridge, microwave, blender, toaster, TONS of pots/pans/knives/utensils/dishes/glasses/mixing bowls/etc...) Probably the best equipped condo I've ever stayed at.

It is also gorgeously decorated (not the cheap 80's Florida feel). Very modern. There's 3 flat screen tv's w/ cable. A/C, box fans, beach chairs, walk-in closets, tons of towels, etc... It's just beautiful with all the comforts of home. The only thing that was missing was some paper towel, but there's 2 grocery stores within 2km's, and a 7-Eleven across the street for any emergency supplies.

Bedrooms are spacious, clean, and beds are very comfortable! 1 King bed in the master bedroom, and 2 Queen beds in the second bedroom. There's an ensuite bathroom in the master with shower and 2 sinks, and the second bathroom has shower/tub in it.

The back balcony is spacious - chairs, tables, lounge - and fully overlooks the gulf. Nice spot to watch the beautiful Gulf sunset from, enjoying a few drinks. (There's a front balcony overlooking the Intercoastal waterway / Gulf Blvd, but we didn't go out on it).

This hotel is right on the beach - no crossing Gulf Blvd to get to it. The pool and jaccuzzi are clean, warm, and very nice. The beach is powder-white (not many shells unless you walk down it about 500m. This makes the water area great to walk out on. There's a public volleyball court about 50m down the beach too. And John's Pass is about a 5 block walk away - tons of restaurants and shops, as well as activity centres where you can rent jet skis, or organize deep sea fishing and parasailing.

People have commented on noise, and yes, there is some noise. The Master Bedroom is on Gulf Blvd so there's a lot of cars/motorcycle traffic. We just put on a box fan (found in the closet) and didn't hear any traffic sound afterwards. What we DID hear was constant stomping/jumping/banging from whoever was in condo # 608 above! ANNOYING! Learn to walk!!

Nice to have's: It would have been nice to have some kind of playground on the property/beach area for our 2 year old to play on. But he had fun building sand castles and chasing the seagulls.

In all, it was a very nice spot to stay. We heard from some of the renters that a lot of the other condos were much smaller, but still nice. I guess it depends on who owns/decorates the unit. Condo #508 was fantastic!

I hope this helps!

  • Liked — How well the condo #508 was maintained/decorated/stocked/located.
  • Disliked — Few additional amenities such as playground. And the noise.

“Great Place for A Weekend Getaway”

Stayed in Unit 607. Unit was well equipped and clean. Condos are located on a nice stretch of beach. Beautiful view from balcony. Building was not crowded, so elevators not an issue for us, but I could see where they could be at height of season.

We had a great dinner at Wahoos. Nothing fancy, but some of the freshest and best seafood I have had.

“NICE COMPLEX BUT BEWARE WHAT CONDO YOU GET”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

The SEA BREEZE complex is a very nice place to stay, clean well kept, with new wifi fitted and better tv being fitted now in september. The air con worked well. on the beach and in walking distance of st johns pass. BUT your quality of holiday will depend on the unit you rent. we rented unit 507, a fantastic view, good size unit with 2 bedrooms and 2 bath, BUT it is very run down, looks like the furniture is at least 20 years old, woodwork is not in a good condition but worse is how dirty this unit is, everywhere your hands may touch the woodwork it is dirty, under and near the beds where the vacuam cannot fit or need time to get at has been left with at least a couple of months dust left there. would go back to sea breeze again but not ROOM 507. A fellow person on holiday here said unit 405 was in a similar condition.

Room Tip: all rooms have great view, end units one bedroom at back of complex overlooking road.

“Excellent Trip, A Little bit of Paradise Unit 201”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

This condo is amazing, We stayed in unit 201. As I read a review earlier saying it was terrible I think it must be the unit they were in, because everything we could ask for was here. We had no problem with the water being too hot. As for the elevators we were close to the stairs so most of the time we took the stairs, but we were just happy there is an elevator. Yes kids do press the buttons but whos fault is that, not the buildings. We love this place and we come every year. This building I think is the best on this part of the beach, and it seems that all those rain storms passed us bye.
There was two bedrooms 2 baths, corner unit away from the pool, so it was quiet. They had free long distance and internet which was a bonus. And also a foldable playpen which we used for the baby, not having to travel with that was great. See pic. on facebook. Sea breeze unit 201
