We recently stayed at the Away Inn and were very disappointed.
The room we were given was filthy when we got there.
There was mold growing in the tub, the carpet was dirty and
stained, and the room smelled from cigarette smoke.
We asked for a different room but the manager told us that she'd
have the cleaning staff come and clean it. We had to call the manager
again about it and 3 hours later, someone came to clean the room.
The pool area was also dirty with trash all over and looked liked it
had not been cleaned in days.

I stayed at the Away Inn for a month during the summer, and I have been anxiously awaiting my next stay there! I called ahead to let them know I would miss the check in time, and I was informed that the general manager lives in the building and she wouldn't mind waiting up for me. I showed up at 3am, and found her sitting on her couch half asleep waiting for me, and she was so kind about it. I was there when they were doing the renovations, (which turned out amazing by the way!), and they upgraded me to a bigger room so I wouldn't be woken up early by the noise of the workers. I had the time to chat with the people who work there, and they were so nice. I did ask about the yellowish tint to the water, and I was informed that it was usual for the area. (I did ask some other locals I met, and found out it was true). It is not the hotels fault! They have amazing cleaning ladies who did a great job keeping my room clean for the month I was there. I have stayed in many hotels, and this is by far one of my favorites! Good job to everyone who works there! The place looks amazing, and is filled with the kindest people, who actually care about thier guests.

I recently stayed at Away Inn for a lengthy period of time. At the time of making the reservation I was not familiar with this boutque inn. It was more than I could have ever hoped. The location was exceptional with being able to walk to everything we needed: beach, stores, entertainment, etc. However, the hospitality that we received was even better. The rooms were tremendously clean and everything we hoped for and than some. The front desk staff was unbelievably helpful and the general manager, who lives on property, was there for us 24 hours a day. Away Inn is such a tremendously friendly place and we could not be happier with our stay. We will definitely be staying at Away Inn from now on. You will be as satisfied as possible. Away Inn is the BEST!

i'm already planning a return trip.the staff and onsite owner were all promt and helpful.heated pool was very nice.just about everything i wanted could be found in walking distance.
