“Cheap - only redeaming quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2009

This is your bare bones motel. Rooms have paperthin walls, paper cups and cheap linens. Rooms are tight with bolted down accessories. Even the "breakfast" has crap day-old muffins, weak coffee and unripened fruit. Would it kill them to spring for yogurts? But it you're looking for cost savings and you are not staying long- this is the pick for you. We paid $110 for a king bed on a AAA discount. ..but never again. Moral of the story - you get what you pay for!

“Great Location, Horrible Bed!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2008

We stayed at this hotel over the July 4th weekend. At first glance it looked nice and was sort of tucked behind a Taco Bell and in front of a Sams Club. We went inside and the front desk clerk was very nice and even let us check in early. We took our stuff into the room and then went out to attend some July 4th festivities. We got back late and when we fell into bed I almost died! Not only did the bed have the hardest mattress I have ever felt but it was like a trampoline so every time me or my husband moved, the other one was about to be bounced on to the floor. To make matters worse, some people on our floor thought it would be fun to let their children run screaming down the hallway until all hours of the night and very early in the morning. When we got up to partake of the complimentary continental breakfast we were dismayed to see that the six whole tables in the room were all occupied and there was a line waiting to get in! Needless to say, we went elsewhere to eat breakfast. If you don't mind a hard bed and are not interested in having breakfast this is probably the place for you. The price is right and it is conveniently located. If you have a bad back or require a softer bed...definitely find somewhere else to stay....and bring ear plugs!!!!!!!!!

“Family friendly hotel and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2008

We have stayed here every year when visiting family. The staff always goes out of their way to help us with directions and suggestions for things to do with our kids. They surprised us this year with gifts for the kids.....they made us feel special and welcomed.

“Beautiful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 April 2008

Booked this hotel because the room rate was a lot cheaper than others in the area. Received an additional 15% discount for having an AARP membership. Booked an oversized King overlooking the pool -- and the room did not disappoint. A corner room with four windows total. Sofa, coffee table, king-size bed with nightstands, table and two chairs, large TV, large refrigerator and microwave. Room also has coffee maker, ironing board and hair dryer. Room was very clean. Complimentary continental breakfast offered a choice of three juices, milk, coffee, an assortment of muffins and danish, fresh fruit, instant oatmeal, cereal, hot chocolate. Never crowded. Staff was very helpful. Hotel is just off the interstate. They do have night time security guard. Felt very safe staying there. Am definitely staying there again on my next visit.

“Your basic Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2008

My family stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks during an unexpected family emergency. Overall the hotel was fine. It was close to everything which was a plus. I had heard that this hotel was not in the best part of town, but we had no problems with anything, and there was always security at night, which made us feel good about going out to our cars, etc. The staff overall was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, but definitally served it's purpose, and was better then having to eat out every morning (an IHOP is just about 1/4 mile down the road). The only negatives were that you are forced to pay $1.00 a day for an in room safe, which we never used. Also the carpets in the room appear to be clean but if you use a white washcloth on them, the washcloth turns black. We only found this out because we have small children and were constantly cleaning spills. So maybe they need to install some new carpet. The pool was a nice amenity, and we made use of the on site washer and dryer, although they were not always working.
