The room was real nice and clean. Complimentary breakfast was fantastic and stocked real well. There was also a computer with interenet.

Very dog friendly hotel. The staff was awesome, always helpful, thoughtful and kind. We stayed for 9 days while my child attended summer camp. Dog owners are placed on the ground floor a few rooms from the rear door. Clean pool & hot tub both small. Breakfast was great with waffles, yogurt, cereal, muffins, hard boiled eggs, bagels, toast, oatmeal, coffee, juice, milk and fruit each day. Close to the mall and other shopping. Walking distance from some shopping, Steak & Shake and gas station with a quick mart. We stayed in a room with king size bed and pull out sofa all very comfortable. We picked this room because it had a microwave & refrigerator. The room was clean, smelled good, not that musty hotel smell. Toiletries were minimal. The shower was fair. The road leading away from the hotel was great for dog walking. There was a basic work out room. All of the equipment was well used, yet functional. I only used the treadmill and bike both were fine. There was a nice lobby and other outdoor seating. The hospitality of the place made our long stay outstanding. We also go a good on line deal. I called the hotel several times before making my reservation each call included helpful and excellent customer service.

I guess that the pinhead that runs this hotel will get his bonus for the third quarter. The room I checked into would not cool down below 72 so I changed rooms. The Front Desk clerk admitted that a contractor was on site that afternoon to work on the HVAC. The next room I had also never cooled down below 72. Talk about penny wise and dollar foolish.

I was worried about staying at a La Quinta because I have this image of "older" hotels" in my mind. I chose to stay at the Lakeland La Quinta anyway because they accepted pets.
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. It looked as good as any new hotel, was in an easily-accessed location, and was at a great price.
I was thrilled with how big and how clean the room was. I was also happy with the ability to sign right on to the wifi. Breakfast was included but I did not participate.
