I stayed here last year and liked it although the room was a tad small. This year my room was larger and the hotel is changing with art work and nice plants indoors as the owner realizes a vision. If you enjoy traveling off the sterile hotel circuit and want to save some $, this is the place. I shared a bathroom with one other resident-also a male, and I slept like a baby both nights I was there. It was quiet and the location allowed me to walk to high quality (not expensive) restaurants. I'm not a fan of the chain hotels and their stale, tasteless "free Continental" breakfasts, so this hotel is a good fit for me. I feel safe and I like that this place has some charm and character. I will always stay here when I want to visit Lake Worth.

I inspected the hotel for future travelers and found the staff to be friendly and the rooms to be pleasantly furnished and accomodating. The hotel is historic which gives it a special flavor of uniqueness. The hotel is located in the heart of Lake Worth - within immediate walking distance to shops, restaurants and parks. The beach is about a one mile walk.This hidden gem is worth visiting if you are looking for budget accommodation in West Palm Beach region! Recently purchased and being lovingly restored by Winston, my room was a double with a new unbelievably comfortable bed, private bath, TV that worked, crisp linens and thick, fluffy new towels. This is not a cookie cutter hotel - it is being restored in the tradition of the era in which it was built - 1920s! Kitsch galore, lovely vintage furniture, small and simple rooms, artwork and old world charm. Also available, singles with shared bathrooms for true budget travelers! Availability of the kitchen to cook and share life stories and food with Winston and his wonderful mother made this a home I will return to and will not hesitate to recommend to others. If you are looking for bright and shiny - this is not it. If you are looking for warm and personal, you have found it!
