Arriving in Florida late we were looking for a place close to Sanford airport to spend our first night We booked a two double beds with Candlewood Suites Lake Mary.Because of the low price for this area I was a little concerned to what the quality would be.Arriving after 11pm the parking lot was full.I took a deep breath and proceeded inside to find a very pleasant gentleman waiting with our room ready and waiting.I was very concerned about noise because of its location to I4.The room was actually a small kitchenette, very well stocked. We could not believe how quiet it was. After a great nights sleep I went in search of early morning coffee and found a lovely lady waiting with fresh coffee and free breakfast including home made waffles made to order. The only disappointment was with it being such a beautiful morning and checkout not until noon, my children wanted to go swimming and unfortunately the pool was full of debris. This is a great hotel with pleasant staff and we will definitely be staying here again next year. I highly recommend this facility to anyone regardless of short or long stay.

My spouse and I, plus 2 small dogs, stayed here for 7 weeks during January and February 2011. It was very convenient to restaurants and shops, yet away from high traffic area. The 2 room suite was so comfortable and clean. This is a pet friendly hotel, but it has no pet odor and only an occasional dog bark. Even has a pet walk on one side of the hotel. We were surprised to have a complimentary breakfast Monday through Friday with even a pleasant lady to cook the waffles for us. Also had free washers and dryers and a reasonably priced store at the hotel. Really liked having a recliner in the room. We plan to stay again next year. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The front desk personell were great, letting us check in shortly after noon, even though policy says 3pm.
Room was clean, spacious and the kitchen was great. We cooked our own meals, including breakfast, since the breakfast provided was very minimal (cereal, toast or muffins...no fruits or eggs.)
Price was a huge factor when we booked, were in area for the Daytona 500 and much lesser hotels were charging 4 and 5 X more than this place.
Pool area was very nice, but pool was a little too cold to actually swim in, heater would have been nice.

Stayed for one week in January with spouse. Extendes stay for one additional day without a increase in the daily rate. Staff was not only very friendly but they went out of their way to accomodate. The front desk person (young lady) took extra time to explain everything about the place.....room, linens, breakfast, laundry, ...etc. Our room was clean and well furnished. The linens appeared to be fairly new. Microwave, dishes, refrigerator, etc were well maintained. They did serve a limited breakfast every day except weekends. A pleasant suprise was the laundry was free. There was no extra charge, except for soap, to use the washers and dryers of which they several. Not only would we stay here again but are planning on our return later this year and plan on staying for a longer period. There price is very reasonable and they have an additional price break for 30 days or longer. I have stayed at several extended stay hotels and this one rates # 1.
