“Nice Hotel, Would stay again”

In general i found my 3 week stay here very enjoyable. Very quiet, nice room, massive bed, a sofa, desk, tv, fridge, microwave etc etc.. The staff were pleasnt and helpful and the hotel was only a short bus ride to disney. We had quite a few ants in our hotel room about a week into our stay, and since wed never been abroad before we didnt realise this happens alot and we complained about it. we were told that there were no other rooms available so they gave us a free upgrade to a suite which included a living room and kitchen which was great! the first suite we moved into had a real ant problem all over the kitchen so again we complained and the guy on reception gave us keys to all the empty suites and let us have a look round and choose the one we wanted.

The shuttle bus to Disney was very handy as we didnt have a car but getting to universal was a bit of a problem. the shuttle bus advised us that a hotel up the road did a bus to universal and to jump on there so that wasnt a problem :) the nearest shop and restaurants were about 30mins away so a car is really advisable!

The breakfast wasnt great, plenty of choice but quality was pretty poor im my opinion.. the pools were alright, a little bit dirty though. the brouchure i read said there was a games room but when i asked on the recpetion they said there wasnt a games room. i actually found the games room and realised why they lied and said there wasnt one.. it was pretty shocking!

All in all we had a fantastic holiday and thought the palms was definatly value for money... we had 3 weeks accommodation and flights for £600 each :)

I stayed one night at this hotel, they gave us an amazing huge room, no noise, free breakfast. The greneral manager was a saint to deal with. I will definitely go back there next time I am in town.

“A fun trip, a pretty good hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2008

This hotel was a pretty good value for the money. We actually switched to this hotel shortly before our trip thanks to reading the horrible reviews of our first hotel on tripadvisor(that was when I first discovered tripadvisor, I use it for every hotel I stay in now).

We had a great time on the trip and the hotel served it's purpose pretty well. It is very close to Disney and an easy drive. We drove to Disney, the shuttle service was at odd times. I would plan on driving to Disney if you stay here.

You get a free breakfast that was passable. It's not great food but not terrible either, it saves you some money. The pool was nice, if sometimes crowded.

The room was a nice size but in need of some updating. It is nice having several rooms when you have 4 people in a hotel(2 adults, 2kids).

  • Liked — The location
  • Disliked — The rooms needed updating.

“Stay away from this hotel”

READ THESE REVIEWS AND BE WARNED!!! I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and had requested NO HOUSEKEEPING the entire stay. I did not have a problem until my last night there. Although there was a DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door, the housekeeping staff decided that they would go in anyway. Upon returning from Seaworld, we immediately noticed that our huge Disney bag full of 6 days worth of souvenires ($546.00 worth) and 2 cameras of family pictures was missing. Panicked we ran to the front desk to no avail because they blew us off and basically told us that they would look into it. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited and waited for a phone call. That night we checked back and asked for a manager. He had to be called at home, there was no manager there. We did a report that they would not make a copy of for us, and referred us to the district manager Stuart, who would not talk with us face to face. Stuart basically sent messangers back and forth and did NOTHING to remedy the situation. I finally ended up getting a police report so that I will have something to present to my attorney. Do not believe any of the managers responses on this site...Stuart is a big liar and does nothing to remedy any of the situations at his hotel. There were 2 other people at the front desk complaining of missing items while I was down there and they were getting the brush off too. Stay away from here!!! They are crooks!

  • Liked — the fact that we have 3 children and the room accomodated 2 double beds and a fold out couch
  • Disliked — the staff was HORRIBLE and the housekeeping crew are CROOKS!!!! Several guests with missing items within our stay

1st of all I do talk to guest that really want to see me. We have a policy on calling the police on any theft if they occur. This hotel has not had a report theft in 4 years. And if this guest would like to speak to me or any of the other managers we are here for them.
