my wife,2 step children and i stayed at the Baymont Inn 4156 West Vine Street for a week in August. The Inn is set back off the main highway 192 which is a busy 8 lane highway (and to cross it you have to walk a few hundred yards to the crossing!)
Around the Baymont there are plenty of eating places and you get a discount voucher at reception for some of these. 2 supermakets close by too.
we had 2 queen size beds, tv microwave and fridge in our room and the rooms were clean and tidy every day.
The pool is small but clean and there are towels so you dont need to bring your own.
Breakfast is limited, toast and waffles are the only hot dishes on offer (polystyrene tableware and plastic cuttlery)
There is a small fitness room with decent equipment.
Old town is a must. There is plenty to see and do so go in the evening.
If you are planning on going to Disney then there is a shuttle to the parks but if like us you plan to do Universal then you will definately need a car.I didnt hire a car as i drive a lot in England so i spent a fortune on taxi rides.
We certainly had a great time and you will be made very welcome by the manager Kamal Faizi and his family (from England).
If you are planning to visit Universal then i think this Baymont is too far to travel.
Canada Drive seems a good bet
