My husband and myself do a lot of fishing therefore we have stayed at some really nice hotels and some dumps that I have turned and left because I would not let my dog fleas stay and everything between. I stayed at the Heritage Park Inn several years ago and was very happy with the accommadations. My husband and myself were down prefishing for a tournament and decided to stay overnight and do some more fishing the next day. We pulled in the parking area and sat for a couple of moments discussing whether to take a chance on whether the rooms had become run down.
I got out and went into the lobby which was still very clean and requested to view a room we would be staying in. The manager was really great and proceeded to tell me about the renovation that there were doing to the rooms. He was so proud of the accomplishments that it brought a smile to my face. He provided me with a card key to view the room and off it went to view it.
The first thing I looked at was the carpet when I entered the room to see how clean it kept. It was not new carpet but it was clean. I then checked the beds. No bugs and the sheets looked really clean with no stains or odor. The most important was the bath area. To my surprise it to was very clean. The shower tile did not have any mildew stains and the toilet was clean with no rust stain.
Overall, the accomdation was very good and the price was right for a fisherman's budget. I will be coming back the week of the tournament and will be staying at this hotel.
