You can't beat the price of this hotel, but just keep in mind - you get what you pay for. If you're going to be gone all day and just need somewhere to sleep, then this place will suffice. As soon as we opened the door, we detected the musty smell of the room. On the negative side, the bathroom faucet needed to be turned tight to keep from dripping, the knob fell off the lamp on the nightstand, there was an old tv (not flat screen) so picture quality wasn't what we were used to, and the bed was hard. On the positive side, the room was huge. We had a king bed, but it could have fit two queens easily. There was a small refrigerator and the usual table and two chairs. The shower was very good (nice shower head), and there was central air (no noisy wall unit). We had a nice view of the pool from the second floor. There was a restaurant in the lobby and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is great; close to Disney attractions, restaurants, gift shops, etc. This is a great place if you just need somewhere to sleep and won't be spending much time there. Bottom line, the place needs some serious updating but is a bargain.

The lobby is clean and attractive, the staff is pleasant and helpful. We asked to see a room and our request was immediately granted. The rooms are older, but we found them clean. The mattress was comfortable. We took an outside room rather than an atrium. We found it better and the chlorine smell from the pool was absent. The front desk accepted our traveler's discount coupon and would honor it for two nights. This resulted in a cost of a little over $49.00 a night, tax, and all those other extras included. Would we stay there again? Yes. For one or two nights it is fine and the location to food, etc is within walking distance, and we liked that.

Having stayed here last year in a tower room, I was excited to return. Found a great deal and booked for a week's vacation. This time we stayed in Pool view room...actually it looked onto the courtyard and there was some coming and going, but not that noisy and everything settled down by 10 a.m. Rooms were comfortable, cleaned daily and staff very friendly and helpful. I really can't find fault with the Ramada Gateway. Free shuttles to the parks every day arriving in time for opening. We didn't eat there this time around, and unfortunately the Black Angus Steakhouse next door was closed for refurbishment, but there are so many places to eat nearby, it didn't really matter. This is a great location and I look forward to coming back soon!

While the rooms in the tower are ;large the bathrooms need updating.
The advertising of a buffet breakfast for 9.99 (and kids eat free) is false as there was not a buffet breakfast for 9.99 and kids can only order off the kids menu.Genral manger seemed to have an attitude when asked about the lack of buffet.
Staff was friendly and helpful but housekeeping fell short on upkeep as new coffee cups were not added daily and dirty glasses from the restaurant were not removed from the room.
Probably would not stay there again.
