We had a great week's stay at Indigo Reef. It's central location in Marathon, FL meant even the farthest stretches of the keys were less than 1.5 hours away. With Bahia Honda State Park less than 20 minutes from our door, we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. Our townhouse, #25 was a roomy 3 bedroom. Although we (2 couples) only used 2 bedrooms I can imagine the place holding 2 families, with kids very well.

I don't think we ran into more than 5 other people at a time during our entire week-long stay. Of course we stayed during a slow time of year 10/9 - 10/16. The pool was spacious & well maintained. The grounds were beautiful @ the geckos, anoles & iguana were all interesting to watch.

If only we could find an Indigo Reef in every location around the world, I would be truly happy. We initially chose Idigo Reef as a second choice really, as we could not get the availability over New Year at Tranquility Bay, which on paper seemed the better resort, due to the facilities etc but how lucky we were. We did visit Tranquility Bay for a meal at the Butterfly Cafe and a good Nosey around and although good, it did not offer the privacy or serenity of Indigo Reef, although Indigo Reef does not have a shop or restaurant, there are a number of choices within walking distance and more within a few miles but you do have to self cater and or drive to get to most places. After New year, we almost had the entire place to ourselves, the pool was lovely when heated, although I think they did turn it off when most people left after the holidays and it was a little chilly then. The houses are fantastic with great views and everything catered for. Any problems (there were very few) and the local management team sorted it out very quickly. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa and I think I will definitely go again. £ for £ I don't think we could have got this sort of quality accomodation and surroundings anywhere else in the world over New Year, it was a real find. I only wish Singh resorts would create more of these elsewhere in the US, as soon as they do, please let me know.

Just returning from another fabulous stay at Indigo Reef in Marathon, FL. This was a returning trip for our family that was there for the first time two years ago. If you love to boat, love to swim and love to veg well then this is the pplace for you. Our family rents a boat for a weekfrom Tropic Boat Rental. The accomodations are great, roomy and very clean. We were near the pool that made it very easy to bring drinks out to during our swims.

I agree with all the other reviewers, stayed in unit 52 had a great time, 3rd time here, make sure your boat slip is in front of your unit. Apparently the dockmaster has been fired so that would seem to negate the one bad review i read here. highly recommended
