My husband and I stayed at the Albury Court Hotel from December 30th, 2011, until January 2nd, 2012, as part of a tour of Florida. While we loved the location, which made walking to all local attractions very easy, we were very disappointed with the actual hotel. Our room was across the road from the office, a busy, main road, and the door opened right on to the street. The room was tiny and didn't even have a wardrobe, only three hooks and a few hangers in a drawer. Another cause for concern was a second door at the back of the room, with a lock. We didn't know whether it was a connecting door, or a door which led to a corridor. These issues made us feel very insecure during the night. On asking for a change of room, the hotel couldn't do so, as they were fully booked. We purposely spent as little time as possible in that room. For three nights at this hotel, admittedly during a peak holiday period, it cost $1042.89. During our trip, we stayed at two other hotels for three nights, one in Naples and the other in the Art Deco district of Miami Beach; this was the most expensive, and by far, the least value for money.
