We rented Unit #20 Great place- very clean and adequate. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. We will definitely return. The beds were not so great but everything else made up for the uncomfortable beds. It is just a short ride from the beaches and downtown.

We booked a week through Craig & Cindy's rentals (www.rentmyparadise.com), we went in May so it was considered the "shoulder" season. We stayed in condo #38 which was right off the pool area. It was a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom condo that had all the amenities that you have at home! Including some highlights: an ipod docking station, 300+ cd changer, covered balconies with ceiling fans, pool towels, BBQ, dvd player, plastic cups for the pool area, fitness room, free internet connection and many more fun things!

Booking the condo was very easy and painless. Craig and Cindy are very professional. The keys to the condo are sent to your home prior to the trip (with additional information) and upon checkout you just put them in the mail! The security deposit is sent to you after the cleaning crew have given you the thumbs up =)

The location is on Stock Island (about 5miles from KW) - not the greatest of areas, but it is a gated property so offers some sense of security. You will have to rent a car for sure to get into Key West itself. Craig and Cindy also offer a free parking pass to the old town garage in KW which came in very handy!

The condo (sleeps 6-8 people): 2 bedrooms upstairs with kings (or 1 room with 2 twins that makes into a king) a washer, dryer and 2 full bathrooms. Rooms are very spacious. Downstairs is a queen size room (smaller than upstairs) and a full bath with the living room, dining table and a full kitchen area. Well furnished, very clean and comfortable. Outside on the balcony was a BBQ with a table and seating for about 6 people.

My second trip to KW and my first stay at Coral Hammock. I would definitely stay here again! I would also rent through Craig and Cindy again, and have actually booked a week over Xmas for one of their other properties in Truman Annex.

The pool was awesome! Not many people around (May is a slower time) - so worked out well for us. Even though we were right off the pool, it was fairly quiet. It was clean, not overly big but big enough for the 12 or so people who were there with us!

LOVE Key West and loved the Coral Hammock! If you are looking for a "cheaper" alternative to properties in KW, this is your best bet!

I'm writing this from 41 Coral Hammock. We decided to stay here because we have 2 kids and wanted space, as well as a washer/dryer. We also liked the idea of staying a little away from the action so we could enjoy some quiet.

When we arrived we found a bed set up that was not properly advertised and therefore did not meet our needs. There were not enough sheets. Yes, we had to make 2 beds ourselves. The walls have dirty fingerprint marks everywhere. The shower grout is moldy. Some of the closet doors are off the track and just leaned against the wall.

The kitchen was not stocked with such basics as sugar packets, coffee filters, or dishwasher soap.

On top of all that, the website says Key West. This is NOT Key West. Coral Hammock is on Stock Island, which is industrial, seedy, and very noisy. I don't understand the purpose of advertising decks and porches when all there is to view is the highway on one side or the parking lot on the other.

I did call the manager, Gina who did her best. All she could do was bring us some sheets.

Overall, this place is a poor choice. There are better options for the same money. Find one of those.

Our stay in Coral Hammock was beautiful. 3 bedroom/3 bath house was gorgeous and all were pleasantly surprised. People in the gated community were very friendly. There was a previous review written about the management and all I can say is they were awesome and very friendly. Pool was warm in the evening even when the temp was 60-65 degrees- was great! Wish there was a hot tub but all was good. Went deep sea fishing and cooked the shark up on the grill on the deck- that was a fabulous dinner. Somebody in a different review complained about the Pepsi Distribution plant but we didn't even notice it- not a big deal. Get down to the marina and view the 6 foot long Tarpon on the pier- you can hand feed them there- that was interesting. Key West was wonderful and make sure to visit the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square. Hit a buffet on Duvall street for $16 a person and it was awesome and saved the whole family some money on our evening out! The maid at Coral Hammock was very happy that we called early to tell her we would beout by 2 a.m. she was very grateful so she could geta head start the next day. Managment was very nice! -Disregard the other review about someone complaining about them.
