“Very disappointed with some aspects of our stay at the Mango Tree Inn”

The location was great as far as proximity to the historic district, and we had a fabulous time in Key West. The housekeeper was great and the fresh flowers she left every day were appreciated. Beautiful house, but there were some issues with the Inn; however, that caused us to regret our choice of accommodations.

Parking was a problem. There was on street parking and if you left your space, there may not be a space close when you returned.

The owners were not available after 5pm, even though they live in the house. In trying to get the wi-fi code the first night I found that Peggy was extremely irritated with any interruption after 5pm. I was unaware of that at the time and steered clear after that.

The most worrisome issue was the noisy corner on which the Inn is located. There was a traffic light and a lot of traffic on two sides. Since the Inn is located on the corner of the busy intersection, sleep was almost impossible. Not only cars, but semi's(18 wheelers), transit buses, fire trucks (station just a short distance down Simonton), garbage truck (beginning at 5:30am) , street sweepers, motorcycles, and pedestrians returning from Duval. etc made it difficult to enjoy the room. Although we enjoyed the small balcony overlooking Simonton during the early evening, it was only a few yards from the street and the trucks, etc sounded as if they were going through the room. We did enjoy being across the street from Sarabeth's restaurant and the wonderful proprietor of Sarabeth's, David. We highly recommend that restaurant.

“Good location, but a bit pricey for what you get.”

The room is clean. The hosts are friendly. The inn is close to walking around the center of Key West.
However, it is only a room for a pricey $200/night including taxes.
The pool is very small.
Look around before you commit to this inn.

“The Mango Tree Inn never disappoints...”

This will be our fourth stay at the Mango Tree Inn. Once again the hosts Peggy and Johnny did not disappoint us. The Inn is so beautifully decorated and service so superior we were able to totally relax and unwind from a tough six month work schedule. The large heated heated pool was a delight in the early evening as well as at noon. The prices were very reasonable for a top of the line inn in Key West.

Just spent a week at the Mango Tree Inn. What a lovely old mansion. We stayed in the suite that was adjacent to the pool. Beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you could need, plush towels, very comfortable bed, a beach bag in the closet with beach towels ready for a trip to the beach and fresh flowers everyday. Kristina decorated the bedroom and bath with flower pedals or flowers everyday. Kaylee would greet you in the morning. Mango Tree Inn has a beautiful pool area with lots of gorgeous foliage. It's also very private.

Mango tree Inn is in a wonderful location. Within walking distance to all of Old Town. We walked a lot and rented bikes one day.

We loved this Inn so much we have put our names on their calendar for next year!

“Gorgeous peaceful place and the most helpful owners”

This place was just lovely, and so peaceful and quiet even though it is right off a main road. The owners could not have been more helpful, and there were so many wonderful touches in the rooms. Flowers in a vase, for example. Also, unlike some places where the signs say "Don't take our towels to the beach," or "don't take our towels to the pool", this place had a beach bag with a large towel already made up for you in the closet ready to go! And had pool towels in a basket in the room that were large, not the size of fritos, and not white - pale green with a sunset design - just lovely and large and soft. So many nice touches - just obvious thoughtfulness and consideration.
