After reading countless reviews of Inns in Key West and checking prices, my GF and I settled on the Duvall Inn. We chose this B&B over the others because of Price and Location. It's not on Duvall street but we did not want to stay right on Duvall due to the overflow of drunk people from the bars. But this B&B is right off Duvall (maybe 25 steps) and the trees on the property really muffle the sounds so you really can't hear anything (beyond the roosters).
We stayed in the Hibiscus room. Large King Bed with ceiling fan, AC, TV, fridge, sitting area and private bath. Bathroom was a bit small and the mirror was in a weird location (according to my GF, it was fine for me). Shower has good pressure and was clean. The only gripes I had with the room was when it was dark, we would see the light from the hallway through the door, not a big deal as we slept fine. The only other issue was the sitting area lighting. We tried to turn on those lights with every switch in the room but none worked. This was an issue because that is where we put on clothes to get ready. Finally we found the switch behind the armoire. Really weird place to put the armoire, but whatever.
Breakfast is included (as usual with a B&B). Nothing special, but fine for us. Bagels, Yogurt, small cakes, cereal, fruit and juice. I would say the best part of this B&B (as everyone else has said) is the happy hour. Only bad part is that the happy hour is during the sunset festivities in Mallory Square (which you need to get to in advance to secure a good spot for viewing). We did go to Happy Hour 2x and the captain was great. Amazing stories and just fun to be around. He will always put a smile on your face.
If I had any friends going to Key West, I would tell them to stay at the Duvall Inn.
