We come to Key West once a year on the ferry from Fort Myers. As our regular guest house was booked, we decided to try the The Palms. We were not disappointed. Although our room was very small (our choice) it was very clean and fresh smelling. One of the best ways to throughly enjoy Key West is to rent bicycles which they have on the premises. The breakfast was way beyond continental and consisted of fruits, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, bagels, toast, pastries, coffee, juice etc. and Danny kept it well stocked. The caged birds on the premises are a nice touch, pool was sparkling clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to store our luggage and use the bikes until our ferry left. There are a lot of choices in KW, this one is reasonably priced and off the beaten path. It's an island so everything is brought in and expensive! We would recommend the Palms and would definately stay again.

The hotel was charming and conveniently located, within walking distance to Duval St., the Hemingway House, etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable, bathrooms had quality amenities and plenty of thick towels. Nice continental breakfast served by the pool. We had a lovely balcony room overlooking the street. Our only complaint would be the minimal soundproofing. We could hear all the outside street noises.

“Just Okay”

Traveled to Key West in July 2011 and had a great time. The hotel was just okay, but it was a short distance from downtown (long walk or short cab ride). The room was dingy, the beds were really uncomfortable, and the shower was really small. The breakfast in the morning was just okay as well. Very limited parking, I suggest renting a scooter rather than a car. If you're just looking for a decent place to crash with a pool and nothing luxurious, then this is the place to stay!

“Didn't meet expectations”

From best to worst: Staff was kind enough & friendly enough. Internet was fast & reliable. Breakfast was pretty mediocre at best, not that great at all. Unfortunately, our room smelled horribly damp & moldy - somewhere between extremely unpleasant & disgusting. Floor in the room was dirty to the point that our feet were black after the first few minutes of walking around - yuck! Definitely was expecting more for the price we paid. Was happy to be in Key West and that the Palms had availability, but next time we'll try to book earlier somewhere else.

The Palms Hotel was a great vacation and holiday!!It had such a warm and friendly and most
charming first impression.The location was great,the rooms were spacious and clean,with alot
of touches of home.I especially loved how the bath and hand towels were assembled into a
work of art.The staff are definitely there to accomodate your every need.Each and everyone were the best! The breakfast by the pool was most convient and delicious with the best coffee
and a variety of breakast treats,to get you started on your day.I loved some of the other ,more
elaborate hotels;but I LOVED AND ENJOYED MY STAY HERE AND I WILL BE BACK!!!
