My girlfriend and I stayed here over Thanksgiving. This was our first time to stay at Poinciana Place based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed with our decision. As with all the other reviewers the location, security, convenience, value and just general ambiance of the place was outstanding. The owner, Bruce, was very attentive to our comfort and needs in an unobtrusive way and made us feel welcome and at home. We would definitely stay here again! My only complaint, and it is a minor one, would be that the mattress seemed to be a little hard. We would not let that stop us from staying here again but if we found a new mattress an our next trip I would give them a 5 star rating which is what I really wanted to give anyway!

We came here for our honeymoon and couldn't have loved the place more. I found this place initially on VRBO, and after reading great reviews through here, went ahead and booked it for 10 days.

What a great little place! We stayed in the Treetop Unit, which has a living room, small kitchen, and a cozy bedroom (comfy king bed) which opens up to a small private deck with a hot tub. There's also a hammock on the deck where you come in that my husband fell asleep (passed out) in more than once.
All the rooms were very clean and had pretty much everything you needed. Plenty of towels for both the bathroom or the hot tub, any kitchen item you may have forgotten, list of tv channels, maps, coupons, beach passes, you name it, they provided it!

Loved having a little kitchen area with a stove, although I think we cooked maybe twice. The plan was to cook a lot more than that, but we were too tempted by all the great places to eat...

We spent a little more time inside then we would've liked - I caught an awful head cold the day before we came. Another reason why I'm glad we chose this place. It would've been awful to be stuck in a hotel with one small room. (Not that I spent THAT much time trying to get better - probably should have...)

The location is great. We decided to go carless the whole time we were there and everything is within walking distance. We wandered all over the island every day I wasn't feeling awful, and though some days were a little hot, it was really no big deal. (Except at night when walking in a straight line was a feat in itself...)

We had a great time, and hope to book here again in March!

Just came back from a wonderful time at Poinciana Place. When we travel we appreciate comfort and privacy. Staying in a hotel in key west is silly when you have a place like this. When you walk through the gate at Poiciana Place, you move into a different world. Close the gate behind you and you have a personal sanctuary with your own private hot tub.

A fully equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom, jacuzzi deck and a beautiful shaded back deck makes poiciana place a perfect combination of comfort, privacy and convenience.

We are already looking at dates to go back!

Poinciana Place was more then we expected. The pictures make the place look more outdated then it is. It is the perfect location to get the real Key West experience. Far enough away from bars and shops that’s it really quiet but within walking distance to most of the restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. It’s in a safe location and it’s very clean. The fence that surrounds the yard is private and has a lock in addition to the locks on our doors (not that locks seemed needed). The air conditioners worked very well as we had high humidity and a real feel of 108(it was hot)! There was a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, stove and blender. I might add the blender worked very well! Full size 4 person jacuzzi on deck was fabulous! There was a closet with a few hangers (10), ironing board, iron and a few other items for guests use. Bruce (the owner) has really kept in mind the little things that are needed: can openers, bottle opens, all types of utensils, list of all TV channels & numbers next to the TV, map posted on the fridge, amenities in the bathroom (suntan lotion, hair spray, hairdryer etc.) not to mention the great recommendations he gave us. The only thing that might bother someone is the water pressure low.

There is a Publix, Albertson's and Winn Dixie about 3 miles away on Stock Island. They are very easy to get to from the house (3 turns). The outside of the property is very lush and tropical. There was a couple staying downstairs and we never heard them. We felt like we had our own private resort while we where there. We’re very excited to have found such a great place to return to in the future!
