This quaint little hotel was suggested to us by a friend. Beautiful grounds, an excellent restaurant (breakfast was included in our package!), a piano bar, an outdoor bar, a small pool, sun deck and a very convenient location. Their website describes: La Te Da is an adults-only hotel. All guests must be 21 or older. However, we are not a clothing-optional property.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We were not able to fit in a show at the cabaret, but we spent time at the piano bar because there is excellent entertainment nightly! The rooms were cute, not overly luxurious, but clean and updated for comparative pricing.

We stayed in a Deluxe Ground floor room which includes:

Walking distance to Southernmost Point and Beach, tourist area and restaurants/bars on Duval, bike rentals, cruise ship docks, Hemingway House, and Butterfly Gardens. We did not have a car to park, but those with vehicles may want to note Key West is rather crowded and I would expect it to be difficult to find parking. The hotel does not provide or guarantee parking availability.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights in late January 2012. Clean, comfortable room with dresser, armoire, two chairs, flat screen tv, fridge, ceiling fan and large bathroom; our room (#19 right behind the bar/dining area) was large but was handicap accessible so others may not be as large. Window a/c unit mounted high on the wall kept good temp and provided some nice white noise to sleep. Staff was amazing, friendly, and extremely helpful from the desk to the bar to wait staff and hostess. We were up late most nights so the nightly music and bar crowd was not a problem, but if you go to bed before midnight, be aware of this, the place is hopping around the bar area. The drag show was great, don't miss it. If you have a car, be careful to park on a side street that isn't restricted parking. Note, the island is populated by roosters that like to crow at night, but this is an equal opportunity noise everywhere except perhaps at the big hotels in the waterfront areas. Easy walk to everywhere up and down Duval, this is the less busy end. I wouldn't recommend planning any pool time at least during the cool months; the pool is in a pocket in the center of the property and won't get a great deal of sun and is next to the dining area. Bikes can be locked up just outside the hotel on the street; metered parking (up to 12 hours actually) for loading and unloading your luggage from your car. Overall, a good hotel with personality and charm and a good value right on Duval street.

The location is excellent! Close enough to walk to the beach and the nightlife, but in a quieter section of Duval. Staff is generally unfriendly and not very helpful with the exception of one bartender/girl Friday, Mindy. She was awesome! I would recommend this for location only.

Stayed here for a long weekend and loved it! Right on Duval, so not far from anything--short walk to the bars/restaurants and 3 blocks from a quaint beach and Southernmost Point. Loved the jacuzzi tub in the room and the patio where we had made-to-order breakfast each morning, which was included with the price of our room. This was the best part of the experience hands down. Only reason not 5 stars was hotel and pool were a little worn down (which actually added to the charm) but totally worth the price you pay, as it's one of the least expensive hotels on Duval. The staff at the hotel was absolutely AMAZING, from the gentlemen at the check-in desk to the restaurant staff to the maid. Free parking on the side streets was extremely easy to find, so definitely believe the hotel when they tell you that. Thank you!
