We stayed here for a long weekend Oct 13-17. The owner & manager are both very helpful. We originally booked for just 2 nights and when I emailed to ask for possible cancellations for 2 more night, i was called right away and they were able to help with a small room. On site bike rental is a nice amenity especially as you can literally bike every where in Key West. Other guests were friendly. Clean, basic rooms not fancy but fun. Pool is really an extra large hot tub but looked clean. We didn't have a chance to try it out. I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Garden House for a few days and had a fabulous time! When we first arrived, we were greeted by the most wonderful, sweet, outgoing woman named Nancy (the manager). She is what made our stay so much fun! Yes, the rooms were nice and perfect for our needs! Yes, the location was amazing - not too far from Duval Street! Whenever we were back at the room, we just had fun! There is a Happy Hour and the breakfast is good. She made our stay so enjoyable that we are about to plan our next trip there! I highly recommend this place in Key West!

I made a reservation at the wrong hotel and canceled less than 24 hours later. They charge a $25 bookkeeping fee! I find this a ridiculous policy and definitely confirms my opinion that I would never stay there! My trip is over 35 days away and they still charge the bookkeeping fee no matter what. Bad customer service. I would call the fees incurred due to using credit cards "a cost of doing business"

For the price...it is probably the worse deal you could get in Key West. For only about 20-30% more you could stay directly on centralized Duval Street and get MUCH more for your money. As for the rooms and facilities... it is very claustrophobic* and you are guaranteed to hear all the agreements and disagreements of your neighbors. Besides, the constant slight odor of mildew the rooms provide the absolute minimal space for sleeping... these room were divided with one thought in mind - maximize the number of people per square feet and NOT any level of comfort is considered. The neighborhood is quite and set off from the more active areas...so, you might want to rent a bike or motorbike. The parking lot at the hotel is plentiful but is dirt...so, if it rains it will be quite a muddy mess. If this place didn't have a no return policy, I would wager half of the occupants would leave after the first night. Overall, this place is high cost and low value... but, might work if you are on a budget and simply need to spend a single night for a single person or couple but not a family. *Side Note: AVOID rooms that share baths (rooms 4 and 5?)...they are like a cave, beds are uncomfortable and are simply the most uncomfortable place to stay.
