Can't speak to the Inn, but the rum bar is fabulous. Been there twice and both times, we've had fantastic service from extremely knowledgeable bartenders. How many bars do you go to where you actually whip out your phone and start taking notes??? Both Bob and the other lady (whose name I forgot) explained all kinds of rums, we're up to many trivia questions on rum and were just nice enough to let us try different things and rattle off their favorites and recommendations so we could try to find some of these at home. The bar itself is intimate and comfortable with an impressive 200+ rums on the shelf. You can get other good drinks there too but I don't order wine in breweries... Try the mojito or the painkiller, especially if you've never had a "real" one before. Also try Bob's root juice just so you can say you did.

One more thing, when we got married several years ago in KW, we learned a tradition that you buy a round for anyone just married or getting married. Others did it for us and now we do it for others, as I consider it high in karma points, especially if a wedding party full of Marines. Don't think about it, just do it. Root juice all around and thanks for everything you do.

Nice Bar, Great Bartendar, Excellent Drinks. This is a must!

We were staying one night in Key West and were looking for a nice little place which was affordable and had free parking.
They actually do not have free parking per se but the owner will come and help you to find a spot around the block. There is always space so really no need to worry about it.
The welcome was very warm and we were chatting away. We were travelling around before going to Key West and I must admit it was the frist time I felt "being on holiday", I felt very comfortable at Speakeasy Inn.

ROOM
The room was on the smaller side (I think we also booked the smalles one) BUT full of character and I loved every single bit. We had a huge cockroach or flying bug or something like that in the room at night, I got scared to bits but luckily my bf killed it lol. However this is not the hotels fault as everything was very clean and I think that was just one of the perks of having the garden outside the door.

LOCATION
location is a great, it is a 5 or max 10 minutes walk to the main part in a lovely area. If you walk on the main street in the opposite direction, you can reach the beach within a few minutes. Very nice area, it is a pleasure to walk around

BREAKFAST
Breakfast is rather important for me and boy I did not get disappointed. The owner pointed out that the banana bread is home made and we should try it with cream cheese. My bf is still talking about it! Fresh fruit, cereals, etc, eating outside on the veranda. Perfect start into the day.
We would have loved to stay longer but unfortunately they were already fully booked (no wonder!). But we will def go back there!!!

All in all one of the best accommodation while we were travelling around

Our time, as short as it was (2 nights), could not have been more perfect. The staff felt like family, the room was a home away from home and the location was ideal for all destinations in KW. We walked, we rode bikes and we just hung out. We will be back soon!!! Thank you!!!
