We were using mileage points so we upgrade to an oceanfront room. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. They do advertise a private beach which is an area of sand on a concrete dock where you cannot access the water. There is a public beach next to the hotel. If you are looking for an actual beach, the Reach property next door looked like it had a nice normal beach.

One of the finest resort hotels in Florida without the staunch snobby staff attitude. Low key atmosphere with high class feel. This is more of a couples paradise (although families are quite welcome) with privacy if you need it. Beautiful surise/sunsets views. And if you book the ocean balcony rooms, its like being on a cruise ship without the hassle of getting sea sick. Very convenient location since Duval St. ends at the door step of this hotel. Golf cart, scooter and bike rentals are right across the street. Not as hectic as the uptown hotels near Mallory Square because we like the scerenity and quietness of this place. The entire staff is great includng the bartenders at the pool and personnel at the Beach Cafe. I can go on and on but you must see for yourself.

This is the second year that we have stayed at Southernmost on the Beach. Even though it's a little pricey, it is definitely worth every penny. You can relax on their own little beach in front of their "beach bar" after a night on the town. Every member of their staff is so nice, friendly, and accommodating. They also have great prices on happy hour appetizers and drinks. This hotel is an "experience", not just another place to lay your head down for the night.

We loved this resort! All of the other Southernmost resorts are nestled around this one, so you can use the pools at any of them. This one, however, was my favorite because there is a little public beach right outside of it, and, It is located on the ocean so you will have a beautiful view if you get an ocean view room.

The resort itself is located a block from the 'southernmost point' in the US. It is located on Duval St. - at the other end of 'where the activity is' (cruise ships, bars, etc.). We didn't have a problem with this. It is a walk down there, but you can rent bicycles at the hotel if you wish - which everyone does!

They have daily activities which were a lot of fun. Boomer was great as far as entertainment goes. The activities we participated in were the Wine School, and the Newlywed contest - both were fun, esp. since we won the newlywed game and got a free drink :-) The pool was nice, but I didn't go in. It rained most of the days we were there, but they have a pool bar, so it was nice to sit there and have drinks and chat with other couples.

The front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful, and helped us to book some water activities. The restaurant was OK. Our only complaints were the pricing was pricey (for us), and the spa was not great. We spent the money on a couples massage, and we showed up before the massage therapists did. Additionally, there is only one room in the spa - tight- not really a 'spa', and IMO, not worth the money. Other than that, we were happy with our stay and would return :-)
