We loved this resort! All of the other Southernmost resorts are nestled around this one, so you can use the pools at any of them. This one, however, was my favorite because there is a little public beach right outside of it, and, It is located on the ocean so you will have a beautiful view if you get an ocean view room.

The resort itself is located a block from the 'southernmost point' in the US. It is located on Duval St. - at the other end of 'where the activity is' (cruise ships, bars, etc.). We didn't have a problem with this. It is a walk down there, but you can rent bicycles at the hotel if you wish - which everyone does!

They have daily activities which were a lot of fun. Boomer was great as far as entertainment goes. The activities we participated in were the Wine School, and the Newlywed contest - both were fun, esp. since we won the newlywed game and got a free drink :-) The pool was nice, but I didn't go in. It rained most of the days we were there, but they have a pool bar, so it was nice to sit there and have drinks and chat with other couples.

The front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful, and helped us to book some water activities. The restaurant was OK. Our only complaints were the pricing was pricey (for us), and the spa was not great. We spent the money on a couples massage, and we showed up before the massage therapists did. Additionally, there is only one room in the spa - tight- not really a 'spa', and IMO, not worth the money. Other than that, we were happy with our stay and would return :-)

Our mornings started with a wonderful welcome from Susan at the coffee area at the pool front. What a wonderful person, she always had a smile on her face and made us feel very welcome. Great way to start the day! Shelley was also an asset to the hotel, not once did she walk by without greeting with a nice smile. Heather has a lot of energy and did a great job delivering our drinks and lunches near the pool. Ok, Boomer was the activities coordinator and we had so much fun playing all the games around the pool. Who would have known I could hoolahoop, not me! He encouraged everyone and did a great job not making people feel obligated to participate. I think those spectating had as much fun watching participants. And the best bartender was Mark at the pool bar and Bill at the Restaurant Bar

If you're looking for a touristy destination in Key West, this is the place to go. The rooms were quite lovely, the grounds were great.... the only grief I had was the poorly designed layout. Most rooms have a view of another one of the hotel's buildings and your neighbors. So, if you go make sure you get a full view of the ocean, not a "partial view" (I was a bit disappointed with that.)

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was clean, comfortable, right on the water and I would go back if I had the chance.
