This was my first stay at this hotel altho I have stayed elsewhere in Key West in the past. This is a wonderful lodging, including a pool, continental breakfast, and lovely porch if you get a room that has one. There are several on the property.

The best part is the location to all things Key West. Short walks to Duval, the marina area, and Mallory Square are a piece of cake. We were in town for the Food and Wine Festival, and frankly we were able to walk to the many sites of the festival without getting totally worn out!

The staff at Island City House is wonderful as well. They accomodate every request with a smile.

Yes, this is a pricier venue - but you get what you pay for!

Our stay here represented the first week of a month's holiday in the US, my wife and children's first long-haul flight, their first time in the US and their first experience of Key West, so not much pressure to get it just right! The fact that we had our own villa/pool sorted for 'doing the Parks' in Orlando and that Madame and the children did not want to leave this wonderful hotel is the best indication I can offer as to just how good we found ICH to be. Very relaxed but with really high standards across the board. Superb staff who were on hand but not under your feet. Great accommodation, fantastic pool, simple breakfast and all in an oasis of quiet and calm. Close enough to do all the harbour fun and eating, and of course Duval St, but far enough to be beautifully quiet when we needed to escape back to our rooms. And excellent VFM. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Stay here!

We enjoyed the large two bedroom room with our young toddler. Having more space definitley makes a difference! The location was in walking distance to all of the places in Old Town that we wanted to see. The complimentary breakfast was great- my hubby would take our daughter to eat while I got ready. :). The grounds and buildings are very beautiful and we had fun kitty cat hunting with our little one.

I stayed at this hotel last Labor Day weekend, and I was very impressed. Our suite had a full kitchen and two bedrooms, not to mention a lovely porch. The location was great, and I loved being in an historic hotel. The room was more like an apartment than a hotel room, so it was easy to feel right at home. I'll definitely be back.
