Originally I had looked into staying at the Avalon; however, after encountering a more than rude woman on the phone, I called Old Town Manor. The man on the phone was very pleasant (although I never saw him at the property... I assume he was the manager I've read about in the other reviews) anyway, as I was saying, our reservations were booked back in December and we were looking forward to the trip for a while.

Upon arriving we were greeted and showed to our room, Tree Top. Although a little small, it was a nice room and the balcony was nice to sit on in the morning and enjoy coffee.

My friend and I ventured up and down Duval Street both on foot and bike which was enjoyable as well. I was relieved that the woman at the Avalon was so rude because their location is paltry compared to Old Town Manor's. The Avalon was way far down on the 'quiet' end of Duval Street. Old Town Manor is right off Duval, literally about 10 steps from everything you would want to do and see. The location was perfect to Mallory Square, many bars, restaurants, etc.

Breakfast was good and surprisingly had a lot of different foods.

Overall it was a very enjoyable stay. We're looking forward to returning next year with the rest of our family.

We stayed at Old Town Manor with our 3 month old son for 3 nights in February 2009. There is a sister property around the corner called Rose Villas that may be better for families with kids who are mobile (and it has a pool), but the staff at Old Town Manor were wonderful with our son. We booked a crib in advance and it was waiting in the room (only suggestion would be to provide a sheet for the crib!). We wrapped a blanket securely around the mattress and our son slept soundly through the night. Carlos and Kathryn were very helpful, Kathryn pre booked a wine sunset cruise for us on the Danger. The cruise was fantastic-very knowledgeable crew, great wines and a fun night out. The B&B is in a very central location, half a block off of Duvall, and not noisy at night, even though we had a ground floor room. Lovely continental breakfast with home baked goods.
Lots to do in Key West even with a baby in tow. We had lots of lovely long lunches in the many great restaurants on Duvall and were welcome in many of the better restaurants in the evening even with baby. Ate at A&B Lobster house one night-was good, service was a little slow, and it is overpriced, but that's Key West. Best meal by far was a little off the beaten track at Mangia Mangia Pasta Cafe. One of the best Italian meals I have ever had..a must if visiting Key West. We will be back!

We came to stay at the Old Town Manor for our wedding in November 2008 at the Audubon House. We had most of the property booked with family and friends attending the wedding. This was our 2nd stay and it exceeded the expectations set by our first visit. We met Carlos, the manager, at about 2am our first night when we had locked ourselves out of our room. He came quickly to let us back in with out a thought. The rest of our stay was spectacular! The service was top notch and the property is peaceful althought just off Duval Street.
A special thanks to Runi, who took time out of her day on our first visit a year and a half ago to plan our wedding. Runi and Carlos will always be our Key West favorites! Thanks you two for everything! We look forward to many return visits!

We traveled from Southern California to Key West for our daughter’s wedding in mid-November and many in the wedding party and immediate family stayed at Old Town Manor. The care and attention our group received only added to the magic of our destination wedding experience!

Old Town Manor is a short walk from the excitement of Duval Street, but once inside its Victorian wrought iron gate there is a sense of peace and tranquility. From the moment you step into their lobby you feel welcomed -- as if into a friend's home!

Throughout our stay our every need was met with congenial efficiency. Carlos, the manager, was gracious, his staff competent and friendly, and the sumptuous continental breakfast a delight!! We lingered on the brick patio each morning, savoring our coffee and the ambiance of the beautiful, tropical gardens.

Our group encompassed all ages, from young 20’s to near 90’s! Can say without reservation that we all loved our Old Town Manor experience!!!
